Backstory

Lowell is the son of a successful pirate captain. Around the time Lowell turned 16 his parents died, they were presumed to have poisoned by a jealous rival pirate. Despite only being a teen he inherited his father's ship, crew, and position. This caused an upset umong the other crew members, as the position should have gone to the first mate, but was handed to the late captain's inexperienced son instead. Slowly the crew broke up and moved to other ships until Lowell was the only one left.

The entire situation left a deep scar in Lowell's self-image. He started to cope in self destructive ways such as starting fights and sailing in storms for adreneline rushes. While Lowell was in the rigging of his ship trying to fix a sail torn by a recent trip he took in a storm, he fell and injured himself badly. A kind passerby pirate called Evette, or Ev, helped to nurse him back to health. Not too long after Lowell and Evette fell in love and had a son called Milo. Evette taught Lowell a lot about healthy coping and how to deal with his emotions properly. After Ev went on what was supposed to be a short trip, she never came back. Debris from the ship that she took eventually washed to shore, and while no exact cause had been found, she was considered dead.

Lowell took the news hard, and he spiraled into an even worse depression than ever. His old habits returned and he began to drink heavily. About 10 years after Evette's death, Lowell met Cosmic. They dated for a short period of time before Cosmic broke it off and eventually married another person. Due to Lowell's now deeply ingrained abandonment issues, he starts to stalk Cosmic and even plot to start a war that will kill his husband.

Description

Lowell is a tall and skinny but muscular man with green eyes and tan skin from working in the sun. He has brown hair that dramatically flips up at the ends no matter how much he tries to flatten it. His favorite colors are dark browns or oranges. He's an overall flirty person even if he is in a relationship or paticurally interested in someone. Mornings and quiet feel lonely for him so he frequents loud bars for company. He wears a sturdy red coat with gold decorations, an ascot, a brown shirt, and dark red-brown pants that bunch up before they are tucked into his boots.
