The only child of one of the former bosses of the Elysium. Despite her family's ties to the organization, she wanted to work her way up to her father's position and earn it instead of having the position just handed to her. She rose up the ranks thanks to her strong work ethic and genuine care she showed for her teammates. She was on track to replace her father by the time he retired.

One day something happened to her parents. No one really knows what happened exactly, but everyone knew the result: her mother was dead, her father was alive but different, and she had no choice but to prematurely take his spot in the Elysium since she was the only one who could do what he did. She keeps herself busy with her work but other members of the Elysium have seen her talking to her father maybe once a year since the tragedy.

Recently she's been investigating the deaths of hero groups across the planet, and has been pestering the Guardians for information. They claimed to not know anything, but she had a feeling they were lying. After all, the Guardians had a bad habit of sweeping things under a rug. This feeling turned out to be right when one of her contacts alerted her to not only another series of murders, but the discovery of one survivor (Camille) and her trial. Kara wasted no time and made her way to the court room, tearing Delphi's reasons for believing it was Camille apart and convincing them to let Camille go free. If they insisted on penalizing her in some way, perhaps they could have her help with Kara's investigation. When Delphi tried to speak out against this, she mentions that Misha was fond of the idea and if Delphi had a problem maybe Misha could convince them otherwise. This shut them up, with thanks to Delphi's cooperation, Camille was released into Kara's care.

Word had spread about the trial so when Kara tried to form a team to help with her investigation, she had few volunteers. While everyone knew and respected Kara, everyone feared working with her because of the situations she'd end up in sometimes and didn't feel like they could keep up with her. Anyone that was even mildly interested quickly changed their mind when they found out they'd be travelling with someone who had been accused of killing their friends. Luckily she was able to get Rose, a new recruit who volunteered to help, and Concord, the Elysium's loose cannon and one of her closest friends, to join her team. Knowing no one else would join them now, the group set off into the world to search for whoever killed Camille's friends.
