Elidra and Harmony fuse out of desperation in the final battle with Simon, when it seems like nothing else will work- but the resulting fusion, Amice, has enough combined magical power to purge and destroy the Xenomagi, so she manages to remove Simon's portion of it and destroy it. Amice still has a long way to go, since her Chaotic-Harmonios magic is the only kind known to be able to counteract the Xenomagi, but she's a determined dreamer who will never give up.
