These days you can often find Millie working with her people to build up the Cupcake Kingdom into something they can all be proud of. When she's not doing physical labor, she's usually busy with her other royal duties and attempting (in vain) to keep in touch with those she cares for the most. Still, she is overall the happiest she has been in perhaps her whole life! Genuinely she is too busy to bother with worrying about the past, and even in her downtime she manages to draw her mind to more proactive pursuits.

The queen has bright visions for the future. Everything is running along smoothly, and she's yet to predict any big troubles on the horizon. Even so, Millie continues to do her due diligence to defend both her kingdom and the ones that she loves. Despite her penchant for mischief as of late, the queen ensures that her top priority is always the citizens of her kingdom.

Baking
Millie doesn't only bake because she has to -- she sincerely enjoys it! Even in her free time she'll make tray upon tray of cupcakes, or perhaps even dabble in a little cake or two! She absolutely loves to go to the Community Kitchen and swap recipes with anyone and everyone she can!

Exploring & Adventuring
Perhaps one of her favorite pastimes, Millie takes any and every opportunity she can to get out and about. She scribbles little notes and doodles about every location she comes across -- maybe even just a random tree that caught her fancy! How on Earth-- er... How in Ooo could it bend and twist like that? Millie just adores taking in as much of Ooo as she possibly can. To her, it's all so truly stunning and surreal.

Tarot Reading
This is a very new hobby for Millie, and one she takes great interest in at that! Being a beginner, she often reaches out to more practiced individuals for advice. In fact, her current deck was gifted to her by Ana! Oftentimes Millie will venture out to Glowdown Docks late at night in hopes of getting some practice sessions with Ariana. But she always declines. Rude.

The history of the Cupcake Queen is a tragic and convoluted one, and something she prefers not to dwell on at that. In truth, very few people know the true past of the queen, beyond her training for a long while under Princess Bubblegum. Most of her people know only that one day, out of the blue, she was introduced to them at the Candy Kingdom, their original residence.

A heaping handful of years ago, Princess Bubblegum was delivered an odd and unexpected package. Prying it open, she found its contents to be a deceased creature -- a human? Although it wasn't something she remembered ordering from anyone, the princess could certainly use it for her most recent project. Around this time, several of the cupcake people living under her rule had toyed around with the idea of creating their own kingdom. Fearing for their safety, and perhaps fearing a loss of control, Princess Bubblegum decided to make lemonade out of this metaphorical lemon! Not another Lemongrab, though... Not another Lemongrab...

And so, after countless hours of toiling away, the Cupcake Princess was created. From spare frosting and a spare corpse she rose. For the next several months she received intense training from Princess Bubblegum, becoming something of a pet project. Though, try as she might, Princess Bubblegum was unable to obtain any information about the Cupcake Princess's past, as she simply did not remember. After a while, Princess Bubblegum stopped trying. Having a blank slate to work with did end up being in her favor! All the Cupcake Princess knew was...how to be the Cupcake Princess.

When the time came, the gates to the young Cupcake Kingdom were finally opened. Under the condition that she would keep in touch with Princess Bubblegum, the Cupcake Princess would lead this new society weilding all the valuable information she had acrued during her time with her senior princess. She was able to find her footing quickly, even managing to make friends outside the kingdom even faster than she could have expected! For the most part her people remained happy, satsfied with their quality of life and the princess's rule both. Things chugged along at a steady pace until there was an...unfortunate snag.

It was shortly after a huge public event in the Cupcake Kingdom that trouble befell it. And her name was Toot Sweet, the Jawbreaker Princess. The Cupcake Princess had seemingly vanished overnight, leaving Toot Sweet to rule with an iron orange fist in her absence. What the kingdom didn't know was that Toot Sweet had found her way into not only the kingdom's grounds, but the princess's bedroom at that. And she threatened her -- not her life, but the lives of those she cared for most. She told the princess to get lost, or else terrible harm might befall them. So, the princess left. Just like that. And Toot Sweet was left to reign over the poor, confused cupcake citizens.

Completely unsure of how to react properly in such a predicament, the Cupcake Princess fled far, far away. She found herself in a distant, wild territory known as Big Bramble Forest. It was here where she met The Snake Queen, and was taken into her care. Though the Snake Queen herself was not exactly eager, it was to the princess's good fortune that the queen's posse was avid about taking her in. During this time the princess took on a disguise and an alias -- Ladybug. Though her time as Ladybug was brief, the Cupcake Princess was able to learn many valuable lessons and do lots of soul searching. She spent many nights out in the forest, just staring up at the stars and contemplating the sheer complexity of life. She asked herself many questions: Where did she come from? Who was she before -- if there even was a "before"? Who was she now?

Fortunately, and unfortunately in some ways, her time in the Undergrowth Kingdom was short. She was soon found and rescued by a group of close friends, along with Bertram, her butler who had allegedly lead the charge. The group returned to the kingdom by the dark of night, infiltrating the castle with the aid of the guards and citizens. The plan was perfectly crafted, and near-perfectly enacted. When finally the Cupcake Princess was face to face with Toot Sweet, she gave her the royal beating she undoubtedly deserved. And after the dust had settled, it came to light that Toot Sweet had been posessed the whole time, and in reality she was an innocent child. Seeing the error of her too-violent ways, the princess vowed to protect Toots, offering to take the orphan into her care.

Hearing of the triumph the Cupcake Princess managed, Princess Bubblegum decided that she had rightfully earned her place on the throne now. No longer was she a simple, successful experiment with responsibility shoved into her sugary hands. Now the Cupcake Princess was a true leader, having fought to return to and protect her people. It was at this point that Princess Bubblegum elected to crown her the queen. As soon as her crown was donned, the queen had a strange and -- quite frankly -- frightening reaction. Once the painful and nauseating sensation passed her, she had all new memories. All new...old memories from a past life she had completely forgotten.

Millicent Julian Burnham was born into a peaceful life on February 13, 1972. Her parents were both artists, and they really were great parents to young Millie. Her childhood as a whole was filled with love and happiness, and in some ways this may have been to her detriment. By the time she was old enough to do so she moved out, living on her own in her hometown of London. Her attempts at forming some kind of feasible, functional career proved to be difficult. To get away from her troubles and responsibilites Millie would spend countless hours at local clubs and concert halls. She experimented with maybe too many things, but music was her real drug of choice. Moshing in a sweating pool of people was like nothing else. And one night she met her soon-to-be boyfriend while he was stagediving during a performance with his local band.

About a year later, Millie found hersef as the "druggie", "talentless" girlfriend of an internationally renowned musician. The stress was seemingly endless. Days melted into nights and smoldered like a dying fire into months. Months between leaving the house, daring to step into the public and be ridiculed for her questionably quick weight loss, and hounded about why she only seemed to wear long sleeves. But what the public eye didn't see was the failing relationship that bound her to it. She and her boyfriend were sincerely, deeply in love with one another. But he had gotten clean, and she didn't really seem to care enough to do the same. So maybe it wasn't a surprise to anyone when she'd been found dead of an overdose at the age of twenty-four. And she would never know of the pain that she had left behind -- only that she may somehow find peace in death.

Bombarded by all of these memories of her past life wasted, the queen sank into a deep depression. For several weeks she stayed that way, too. But the difference between her last memories from her past life and the present reality was her support network. This time she had more friends than she could have imagined, all wishing her congratulations, a speedy recovery, and a welcome back simultaneously! Not only this, but now she did have responsibilites, lives that depended on her to stay strong and keep fighting. Though it took a while, she eventually did.

Over the years Millie came to terms with everything. She learned to accept and love the person that she became, and she learned to be thankful for the miraculous opportunity she had been given. With her head down and her mind out of the clouds for once, Millie was able to accomplish great things. She has nearly perfected her life-giving cupcake recipe, new citizens being born into the kingdom on a regular basis now. The queen has even helped to finish several construction projects around the grounds, building up their home into something each and every citizen is at least a little proud of.
