Big Bess
Summary
Much like the queen's pet Calvin, Big Bess is the first of her species in the kingdom. She was specially created and carefully bred by the kingdom's resident zoologist, Auris. This being the case, Big Bess was a bit of a handful in her taming, providing quite the challenge for Auris and Millie both. Physically she grew like a weed, transforming from a cute (and still big) cub into a lean and potentially harmful beast over the course of mere weeks.
But Auris was prepared for the challenge, and Millie learned some important lessons along the way. Big Bess's easy temperment, at least, made their job that much easier. Soon Big Bess was leading the way for her peers, being formed into an elite team of mounts for the kingdom's knights. Her training continues to this day, although Big Bess is already an exemplary service animal to the kingdom.

Big Bess is a loyal and eager mount to the queen. At first she was stubborn, ignoring the training she received as a youngster. But as she and Millie have bonded over the years, she has become everything Millie would need from a steed and more. Whenever Millie comes out to the stables Big Bess always makes her weird purring sound.
