Nova is a smaller built Squishling associated with the occult, due to his collection as well as his interests - he's a little ball of fluff that is hesitant to trust, but once that trust is earned, he'll cling to you forever. Nova has a slight tsundere streak, but at the same time, he likes to be funny and play around, even as he distances himself from others. He's also decidedly very catlike, and his hoarding behaviours tend to make him a bit of a klepto. He has a passion for nighttime, most likely mirroring his affinity for dark magic, and he's incredibly fascinated by the stars and other celestial bodies, and pretty much just astrology in general. Talking isn't something Nova does very often despite how vocal he can really be otherwise, and although he can definitely speak, he's more of a voluntary mute most of the time. He'll communicate silently via expressions and various noises in different tones - if asked why, he'd simply say it's hard for him to put things into words, or that he doesn't see a point.

In his collection, though his centerpiece is his hag stone necklace, he hoards any pretty stones he finds (usually gemstones) and highly prizes the animal bones he has, as he uses them for divination. He's not very obsessed, per se, when it comes to psychic abilities and fortune telling, but he's a bit superstitious about the little things, such as telling the future from bones and any measure of luck something can bring. However, others do tend to compare him to a feline, which leads to various jokes about Nova himself being the embodiment of the black cat superstition.
