Profile

He built a life for himself, giving himself a bright future.
Yet the past left permanent marks.

When Chase was younger, his house had caught on fire. In the midst of the chaos, he found his brother and carried him safely outside, his face burned by the flames and leaving a scar. Their parents, however, did not meet the same fate.
Chase tried to take care of his brother, but his sibling had always been distant with him. Even before they lost their parents had his brother acted oddly around him. Finally, it grew to be too much for either of them, and they argued with each other. It was a screaming match filled with bottled up feelings and sayings they both regret.
His brother ran away the next day, and though Chase searched and searched, he never found him. All he got was a phone call from his brother saying that he was doing better without him or even their parents, and hung up before Chase could reply.
With nothing left, Chase looked to the future. He studied to become someone that could help others and could better convey feelings, rather than tear them apart like what happened between him and his brother. He became a therapist, aiming to help others, and he covered his face with a scarf to forever hide his scar.

Notes: It may be a lil noticeable, but Chase was originally meant to be a somewhat AU/human version of Lan! And ORIGINALLY originally, when I first made Lan before being on TH he wasn't an object head. I always envisioned him with a mask or a scarf, just something to hide the scar on his face. Then I got the object head design and fell in love with using that for Lan, and made a humanoid version for THAT. Chase wasn't meant to be made, but there was an RP I wanted to do and got this design for him. Now I just treat him as an AU Lan that got to live a life instead of be a deity; it's nice kinda exploring what he would've been like as one of us.

Facts:

Full Name: Chase Lauren Banks

Age: 29

Birthday: May 23

Occupation: Therapist

Sexuality: Homosexual

Hair/Eye Color: White/Steel Gray

Height: 6'1"

Weight: 163 Ibs

Personality: Reserved and thoughtful, Chase has a fatherly air about him. He's always got a warm smile in his eyes and is willing to listen to anyone that needs to talk. He's supportive and patient, yet tends to keep to himself. The scar on his face has made him somewhat insecure, and he believes it is best of people don't interact with him freely or else his face would accidentally intimidate them.

Voice: Deep and resonant; James Callis

Drawing Details: He always has his pocket watch with him, and prefers to have the lower half of his face covered by his scarf. If drawn without the scarf, his scar is an absolute necessary, eating at most of his right cheek and extending to even part of the neck. Prefers neutral colors and casual formal clothes.

Fun/Extra Facts:

- His specialty is in cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma focused therapy.

- Used to be allergic to cats, but his allergies have subsided over the years, and what still remains can be easily fixed with medicine.

- Many clients hesitate around him when they see his scar, so he covers it up most of the time.

- Hates eating and drinking in front of people because that means taking off his scarf. Absolutely won't eat if someone is watching him. That in mind, he's a fast eater.

- Sometimes instead of using a scarf to cover his face, he'll put a large bandage over his cheek.

- Actually wants to quit his job and do something else that could help, like a school counselor, but is worried about his face.

- Make-up doesn't work, he tried.

- Doesn't know who or what caused the fire years ago.

- The pocket watch is the only thing that survived the fire, and is a precious heirloom given to him by his great grandfather.

- Doesn't know what happened to his brother after he left.

- Sometimes wishes he could have a family; wants to have lots of kids.
