DON DONOUYO
IDENTITY
Don Donouyo is the fourth Patapon god of the quartet, and the only remaining one since then. Although many legends make him out as pure and rightful, she has now since become the opposite of such. Since abandoning the Patapons, he lurks up within the gates of the Otherworld whilst believing that she has the right to do nothing.
Don within his "somewhat mortal" form is a cyclops with stripes going down his face, alongside dots on the sides of her head. They are multicolored with the stripes being yellow, white, and orange in order. The dots on the side of his face are of the same, with orange yellow and white placed on top of each other in smaller portions. His fur(?) is a dark orange.
His clothing is layered, with multiple oranges and yellows. The first layer is a lighter, orangeish yellow with white dots on the side, as a darker version of the color is dripped onto the clothing. The dots are on the darker drip of the layer. The second layer of cloth is a much more vibrant orange with white squares on the top tip. A ring is tightly placed onto the middle of it, three muddy yellow colored dots with the middle being larger. Very small lightly yellowed wings come out of the ring and face down. The rest of the vibrant orange cloth goes down alongside the darker orange dripping. The same lighter orange repeats on the other cloth, but have white triangles on the end tips. The next and final cloth layer is another vibrant orange with dripped aspects, alongside white skinny crosses on the end tips. Swirling arms and legs come out of the cloth, with him only having hands and no feet. His legs make a swirl shape. She very much floats.
With her true godly form, she has two eyes that are a very faint yellow-white. The rest of her face is pitch black, with another circle on the bottom that can be seen as his mouth. A light orange and a vibrant orange are layered onto each other, with a yellow fluff emitting from the dark face. Light and vibrant oranges are dots on the fluff, next to white long swirly hair emitting down from her head, a yellowish tint coming from the white. On top and emitting from the dark face is two sharp light yellow horns with two wavy lighter yellow lines on both sides. In the middle of the horns is three circles that float in the air, the two on the side only being black and orange whilst the middle has lighter tones of orange within a dark circle. They are all layered on each other.
Underneath Donouyo's face is a broken orange ring with light orange stripes on the broken sides. Lighter yellow feathers with black dots emit from the ring, all varying to light yellow hues in order; a greyish yellow on the sides of the rest as well. Each layer of the feathers are the colors white yellow in different hues. The black dots on the feathers are on the ends except for the first feather layer, within the front of the gap. The feathers all have a gap with legs emitting from out, slightly thick until the bottom where it turns thin with swirls. Donouyo's arms are swirly and emit from the first bottom layer of the feathers, with large black dots on the ends.
Don Donouyo in the past was as kind as her brothers, however over the years he became more petty, bigoted, and spiteful. Even nowadays to his own people, she gives off a passive aggressive air to anyone who bothers him. Even the only priest left who still contacts him is someone who he rarely gives any answers or respect. He is most like this to mortals, and even worse to those who aren't of Patapon descent.
Although Don gives respect to other gods, he can quickly become irritated and petty at whoever doesn't side with her. Because of this, she rarely ever talks to anyone within a godly orbit and keeps to himself.
Being one of the first gods (alongside his brothers) to be created by the Cosmic Serpents, she lurked within the gates of the Otherworld with her siblings and didn't persue any contact until a few hundred years later, where she and her siblings created the mater trees; trees that can rebirth and create life. One of the brothers attempted to create life with the mater, and succeeded- making the Patapons from the dropping seeds of it.
Don and her brothers watched as the Patapons grew and evolved into exploring nomads. Unknowingly, Don and his brothers created the Patapons within the Karmen Country- where another similar race lurked with different origins, and different gods who created them. Don was intimdated by the Karmens, and led the Patapons to create boats to find another land to explore to prevent any war.
Because of this action, his brothers argued that they should've made allies with the Karmens and share their culture. Don however believed and argued back that the Karmens and their gods were lesser, in which the brothers began to plan behind Don's back to bring some portion of the Patapon's back to their birthplace. As this took over thousands of years as Patapons explored the Ah-Ooh continent, many of the Patapon's heard the singing of where they came from..
The birthplace of the Patapons and the maters were now known as Earthend, slowly becoming a important part of the culture to the Patapons. Many of the nomads explored the continent they were on in search of Earthend, as Don and his brothers grew more distant. However, when the war between the Karmens and Ah-Ooh's began to get worse and worse.. Don did nothing to the Patapon's siding with the colonizers, and hardly did anything to help his own people who were hurt by the war. Only one of the brothers went against Don and his twins, saying that the destruction of many wasn't worth it for them discovering (or creating) Earthend. Don, Pon and Pata decided to take things into their own hands as Chaka was encased in stone.
However, Don never got to see the consquences of his actions as the superweapon went off, melting his true face off and leaving only two eyes. This weakened whatever power he had as she went back to the Otherworld, hardly contacting anyone except dedicated priests of Patapole years later. Even his siblings rarely hear from him.
With Donouyo representing the DON drum, his attacks represent the miracles that it brings. He can manipulate the weather, however depending on the environment it can have dire or impressive consquences. Even without the power she used to have, they are still strong and hard to take on- even by UberHero standards.
SKILLSET
- "BACK TO MY BRIMSTONE", can manipulate the thunder and fire into beams of light to attack. If hit, you'd be turned into nothing but a crisp. Even the strongest Uberheroes get hurt.
- "HEROIC BLESSING", when someone dies, Don is able to give only a sliver of power to someone to create an Uberhero. It costs memory loss for the person, but incredible power.
- "FOR MY MIRACLES", able to steal the weather for any attacks or defenses needed.
- "SWALLOW THEM WHOLE", only able to be used in Don's godly form, and is devastating. Light swallows the battlefield as whatever life was there before is drained out, leaving only Soulbugs and a wasteland in it's wake..
- Don Donouyo's design and name is (well, very clearly) based off the DON drum within the Patapon games.
- In Donouyo's true form, his face is meant to resemble a gas mask (as his face melting off from what is basically a magic nuke), it can be seen that even in his true form he is hiding something under there. The rest of Don's true form is also somewhat inspired from angelic imagery. The rings (unbroken and broken) also reference some of the depictions of angels; specifically some of the depictions of Thrones.
- In Don's semi-mortal form, the symbols on his cloth are very clear references to the PSP buttons. Them being left out within his godly form is intentional, as she isn't an embodiment of all the drums- however, is pretending to be the embodiment of all of them.
- Donouyo's "BACK TO MY BRIMSTONE" attack is based off the Shock and Awe juju, which is also named the Brimstone Juju. Brimstone can be referred to as a gods wrath.
