Curious and a bit strange, Alya is a relatively easy going individual. There's a strange kind of air around them, having come from the Crescent Moon Clan. It's whimsical and a bit otherworldly. People who know them better will say that it's just because of how much they daydream. They get along relatively well with others, enjoying the presence of real, corporeal beings after spending so much time with stars and rocks and books, but they definitely enjoy a social atmosphere more than actually being social. 

They are actually a diligent student of astrology, never having missed a day of study in their life. Having risen to notoriety in their clan at a young age, they find astrology fun and uncomplicated. They enjoy the spinning of tales and fortunes with a silvery tongue and will only really speak to you in this silvery tongue - dripping with fortunes and poems and riddles combined. This does, however, mean that making friends is a little... difficult, for them. Not that it concerns them so much, time being taken up with studying and star reading. 

Being stuck in Lumiose Village for the time being though, away from the clear skies of the mountains and the dancing nightlife of their people, they may just find their fortune pointing them in a different direction than they're used to.

HISTORY

Born and raised in the Crescent Moon Clan, Alya's birth was blessed with a rare meteor shower. The streaks of light lit up the night sky and upon the stars, Alya's father read the fortune of them and their other father's. His fortune told of a great adventure, one that started with the birth of their child. And so, he left. 

It wasn't without some sadness, but a fortune was a fortune and being the resident astrologians in the clan, Alya learned quite young that the stars dictated every choice and decision they would make. 

Their childhood was filled with stories of their other father, spinning tales so grand that Alya would spend most of their days daydreaming of the adventures they might be able to go on one day. The reality, however, was that their days were filled with intense studying and learning the intricacies of the night sky. Their father taught them about astrology and about reading the stars and telling fortunes and with this knowledge, they became somewhat obsessed with reading their own fortune for some kind of sign that their other father would return. 

Years passed with much of the same and Alya lost much hope of their life changing, resigned to reading the stars at night and studying during the day. Until one day a mysterious knight appeared in the clan, asking for a guide. Alya was ecstatic, immediately begging their father to let them go. Their father was reluctant at first, but after seeing Alya's own fortune for himself in the stars, bid them safe travels and gave the knight a stern talking to in order to keep them safe. 

It was an incredible experience. One that was filled with sights that Alya had only read in books and dreamed of seeing. The Pokemon were greater and more fearsome than the stars could describe, some towering over them and seeming like they could touch the stars themselves. And all too soon it was over. They arrived at Lumiose Village and Alya would be there to stay until they could find someone to accompany them back to the Crescent Moon Clan.
