Ira (IDV (near-death experience au))

Klaha

Profile

Pre-Manor: Ira was a therapist, specializing in grief and death. He has a license in mortuary related services, but wanted to practice his specialty in helping others process and heal from grief. In knowing general psychotherapy and mental health, he liked helping others with their own concerns, knowing how debilitating it can be from his own experience(s). Ira had a past person he had adored, but with distance as any of his love interests had gone unrequited. She focused so much on her career and dreams relating to work, that she hadn't pursued anybody romantically and had been a hopeless romantic for as long as she could recall. Having mentioned mental health, she struggled with DID, BPD, OCD and c-PTSD, but has come to a place that she had just become able to function, despite these struggles. Her wish is to be able to help as many people as possible and gets attached to many people she aids, wanting to be able to be there for them more, but can only do so much in a professional setting. Ira suffers from profound self-hatred, for reasons unknown. Despite it all, Ira tries to maintain a clean and happy image, in his pursuit to be of help (to the best of his ability).

Manor (Before-Near Death Experience): Upon invitation, seeking true happiness and success, Ira arrives at the manor. While at the manor, Ira meets several other people, having befriend some and avoid others. In this pursuit of happiness, she has a naïve and vulnerable mentality to think, "what if I find love here?". In doing so, she pondered what sort of person she would love, having past unrequited feelings, she didn't want to completely avoid the possibility of finding someone to love. The pursuit of happiness following any desire Ira has, she happens upon the novelist, who had quite the reputation already among the people. Ira had owned and read some of his works, despite not enjoying works of fiction, preferring factual/non-fiction work, more along the lines of "reason" and "logic". Ira has no real knowledge on Orpheus, personal or as an author, therefore sees no issue in wanting to know him better. Having good rapport within Baron DeRoss' manor is ideal, as to ensure your own success with your endeavors, but this is not common knowledge, as some information is of course, vague. Ira's naivety is his downfall, as he pursues Orpheus within their relationship together, going from acquaintances, to friends, to lovers.

Events (Leading to Near Death Experience): In a set game, Ira is set to match with Orpheus, which leads to their entire downfall, as Orpheus hadn't been completely honest with Ira. Ira, having rose colored glasses, placed his entire trust into Orpheus as they continue their "mutual" respect for each other in each others presence, until they had this match. Orpheus had been the reason Ira nearly dies, as he attempts (and fails) to kill Ira by his own hand. The scar across Ira's neck is from Orpheus. From here on, things have changed between them, as Ira has a shift in behavior and appearance by unknown means, now having an insatiable desire to do harm unto Orpheus.

TLDR (Events): Picture all of the main information minus death, but more of a serious injury and attempted murder, leading to Ira's lack of trust. While not necessarily dying, there is still that risk of death, causing Ira to become who he is. While not dying before leaving the Manor, he is still given a significant injury and traumatic event.

[sub-AU] Post-Manor (With Luchi): Needing someone to lean onto, Ira finds comfort in her close friend Luchino (as she enjoys the company of other academics), and finds a friend and lover in Luchino.

[sub-AU] Post-Manor (No-Luchi): With no greater need to feel satisfied, only feeling down and out, Ira survives Orpheus' attack and feels no real need to live, but purely does out of spite & hatred for Orpheus. She grows into a person only full of sorrow, seeking no other relationship from others and gave up her pursuit for happiness, only existing without real goals.
