Profile
Chicka (チカ, Chicka) is the public relations officer of Special Fire Force Company 7.
Chicka is a young woman around average height with chin-length, straight black hair with bangs and angled sideburns, while the rest of the hair points outwards. She has sharp brown eyes that are angular due to her astigmatism. Her expression is usually a calm, smiling one.
Chicka can generally be described as a generally calm girl with excitable tendencies.
Chicka was born in the American Republic before moving to Asakusa. Konro suggested hiring her to serve as the liason between the Tokyo Empire and Asakusa, to which Benimaru agreed, despite claiming that he didn't care what type of reputation Asakusa had in the eyes of the Tokyo Empire.
Chicka lacks an Ignition Ability but took up sword wielding at Benimaru's request and Konro's suggestion. Her blade of choice is a kaiken. Normally, only one kaiken is carried, either in a hidden pocket or pouch (or more modernly, in the obi belt), however Chicka prefers to wield two, concealing a blade in each of her tamoto (sleeve pouch). Although she doesn't actually plan on ever having to use the swords to attack anyone due to being a pacifist, she did agree to carry them on her for self defense, which admitedly, has infact made her feel safer when seperated from the captain or his lieutenant.
Besides that, Chicka is shown to be very proficient at reading and writing, as she can stand to read lengthy reports in a sitting (although she claims it's incredibly boring), as well as write a thorough report in underday (at the risk of sleep deprivation.) Benimaru praises her for doing the work that both he and Konro have no interest in doing, at least not to their best ability.
Benimiaru Shinmon
Benimaru Shinmon is Chicka's captain. Unlike other members of the brigade, she formerly addresses him as Captain Shinmon, but never "Waka". Even after she learned waka simply meant "young master", Chicka still felt it was too impersonal to call him that directly. Over time staying at the 7th, Chicka developed attraction to the captain due to his impressive strength, handsome looks, and the fact that they were so close in age. Benimaru was oblivious to her feelings of affection, while Konro caught on immediately. Eventually, Benimaru expressed that he didn't mind as long it didn't affect her work.
Whenever Chicka annoys him too much, a running gag is that Benimaru will toss her out of the room.
Konro Sagamiya
Konro Sagamiya is Benimaru's lieutenant and therefore Chicka's superior. They get along well, with Chicka having a great deal of respect for Konro, and even offering to tend to his injuries. Chicka has shown attraction to him as well, although not as much as Benimaru, or Joker.
Joker
Joker is a mysterious man Chicka met one night on her way home from work. He had asked her if she had a lighter, to which answered that unfortunately, she did not, but helped him out anyway by giving him a five dollar bill. About a week later, Joker had returned her favor by chasing off two goons that had been following her that night, unbeknowst to her. Over time, the two had more meetings, with Joker coincidentally showing up in places that he knew Chicka would be at, including her job. Chicka admitted that she had found Joker attractive from the very first time they met.
- Due to her short stature, she is often being mistaken for being younger. Both Benimaru and Konro were shocked when she stated that she was only a year younger than him.
- Like Lieutenant Hinawa, Chicka also suffers from astigmatism.
- Unlike Hinawa though, she chooses to wear contacts instead of glasses.
