A hairy, teddy bear of a man who puts his work first and foremost, then his child. He says it's because he can't look his child in the eye if he's not trying his hardest every day to do a job well done. But his former partner thought that was a bullshit excuse. In truth, he's a bit childish himself. So he doesn't get full custody of his kid now, as he lives his single life, but he still tries his best to see them often.  

Rusty works as a caretaker for the estate that Jiang lives on as well as a gardener for many of the other houses on the block. He knows everyone there well and has been there for years. Even as people move away, he stays on and works for the next residents because his work comes so highly  recommended. He's very dedicated to making the master of the house happy and satisfied. He's always willing to stay late and do extra favors.
