"It's always a good time when I get to deal in against some poor sucker. That light leaving their eyes when they know how badly they've ruined everything, absolutely hilarious. Plus, the body disposal always brings in new business. Great guy, great practices, fantastic time. Always fun to swing on in, highly recommend."
"The only person I've ever relied on for body disposable. And the only one I ever plan to, at that. A terrifying man to say the least, and someone you definitely want as an ally rather than an enemy. So I'm lucky in that regard. We've been associated for as long as I can remember, honestly. Though I will admit most of it is due to the fact that I wish to stay on his good side for as long as I'm alive. I'd be lying if I said I don't find some of the things he gets up to in his own time unsettling, but it doesn't involve me so it's really none of my business."
"Bark. I suppose this man may find himself to be the talk of the town, and perhaps there may be some legitimacy to the claim. It's rather amusing to watch himself try to attract just about anyone. Truly, how lonely can one who focused all of their efforts onto grabbing the attention of others be? Quite. I can't find myself being all too interested in all honesty, just seems like a bit of a cocky young man destined for disaster. Word of advice, my friend, hearts don't smile. I've got plenty to prove it, if you need the evidence."
"Oh, trust me, they're amazing when it comes to working with blood. Seeing their work is great and all-... Is that blood?"
"You have so many enemies, my friend. Are you sure you need me as another one? We could always work together, a good business collaboration makes the world go round. I always need a new friend to share a good Merlot with. There's no reason to fight over territory or who runs what. Frankly, I don't see much of a point. Besides, there's plenty in it for you. I could even get you some working new wings, on the house."
"As much as I complain of my loneliness, having you as an accomplice is not up my alley. Please, spare me the hospitality. I much prefer to run my things the way I intend them to, so keep your bloodied hands away from my underlings. Take no offense, for all I've stated are matters of fact."

[ ..Far too young. Far too foolish. Mind focused on the wrong things. Treating things the way they shouldn't be. As someone who lived for far too long... Looking at him feels like staring into a mirror of my past mistakes- Yet no matter what, I won't give him the opportunity to live in the present with the knowledge of my own wrongdoings. The higher you are, the harder you fall. I'm sure he's aware about that, especially from his own family.]
"I'm glad you appreciate it. I've always been rather fond of a good Merlot, perhaps next time I can bring a nice Pinot Noir, I'm sure it'd make quite a nice time. The Evangelist is rather amusing in all honesty, speaking of how my very existence stains his standing in society. Quite silly in all honesty, but it's rather fun nonetheless. And yes, the promise was of course set by him, though I doubt he'll ever get to it in this lifetime."
He ponders for a moment, then takes another sip of the glass. "Those who find conceit and belligerence to be the fabric of their belief system are simply mindless cattle brought along by the system that propelled them to heights that most down here could never dream of. Is it evil to bring a calf to be slaughtered to a new home, even if a rotting leg must be amputated? Or to simply churn the meat that help the mortals to live fun and carefree lives? If a rooster kills more eggs than it protects, you simply chop off it's head, so why should it be considered too far gone to do so to one who wants to slaughter simply for the sake of ego? Ah, much to think about, I suppose, and there's no trouble, it's quite a frustratingly fascinating conundrum. The bar is always open, my friend, and I'm always looking for a good chat."
I must say, your taste in wine is quite succulent. I see you’ve also met the Evangelist as well. I wonder what he has told you, or if he’s made the usual empty promise to kill you ‘once and for all.’ It would be great to see such conceited fools suffer, but I must ask, would it make one too far gone? I must apologize for pondering so much— it seems I’ve had more wine than I could handle. We should do this again sometime..
"My my, how amusing... You ought to keep an eye on that friend of yours, you know. I don't plan to do much to him, but he may easily find himself making some real enemies with the way he behaves. Food for thought, I suppose. I doubt you'd want to find something gruesome one of these days."
…I have not hear about Black Markets before, I just know that this guy is trouble. Very scary indeed…
"My, if you're so eager to take me out, you're certainly free to try your very best. But I'm sure you know what's happened to those who've tried time and again to do the very same. Instead, why not join me for a nice glass of wine? I'm sure it'd be an absolutely fantastic time, instead of such a terribly pointless death on your end. Though, I suppose it'd be quite amusing to see your shredded limbs up for sale, but something tells me the feeling wouldn't be mutual."
I cannot begin to comprehend how one can be so calm when it comes to murdering innocents. And yes, while I do understand what horrid things you do to those who’ve failed to take you down, I’ve yet to experience any of this cruelty in return. Even though your magic is considered high for a fallen, it’s nothing compared to the light that I will befall unto you. Just know, Vanocka, the day I sit across from you and partake in a glass of wine with arduous filth such as yourself is the day I will vanquish you once and for all. You shall no longer be the one of few who defile my name as the Evangelist with your insolence.
"My younger brother. How I wish I had been in the house earlier than I had been. Perhaps I had simply been too distracted at the party. If only I hadn't been so swept up in the festivities, I would've gotten home soon enough to stop you from making such a scary mistake."
He swishes the drink in his hand, catching his own glassy gaze in the red liquid.
"... Are you lonely now, Brioche? Are you scared, out in the world all by yourself? You have a home you could come back to. I suppose I can't force you to do anything. I'll just wait for you to come to your senses. We all fall eventually, and I'll be here for you when you do."
"My brother is an evil man. I used to admire him greatly. I don't anymore. I'd rather take a bullet to the head than ever be forced to sit around and smell that disgusting smoke and decay emanating off of his body. He's the core of evil, and I hate him. This is what all who fall have to look forward to. Rot, blood, and decay."
His ears twitch, and he glances away. "I'm glad I left. He still thinks it was just that one night that made me leave, not the years of bloodied aprons, cigarette ash, and drunken warbling about lives never lived. He scares me more than anything else. I hate him."
"My. If I'd have to say anything... I'm quite sorry for how it all turned out in the end. I killed that man, and I knew it. I'm sorry for dragging you down for trying to help me. If anything, thank you for putting up with my wailing, even if the case was truly hopeless. I appreciate it dearly. If you ever need any assistance, shelter, money, help... my doors are always open. ... It's the least I can do, really."
"Ah, Zaccai, my old friend. I'm thankful that at least for now, you've been able to step away from the gory life and take care of those who can't take care of themselves. It's sad to lose someone who was so competent on the field, as well as a great chatter, but I'm glad you're happy now. I'm sure you don't need me to tell you to appreciate that time you have with the ones you care about. If you're ever interested in catching up, I've got quite the nice Syrah in waiting."
“Vanocka, Vanocka…how do I put this? Vanocka is…a powerful force to be reckoned with to be sure, and has all of the charm and charisma to back it up. I still respect him as a potent figure in the politics of Peak society, even if we no longer see eye to eye. Though we may be players on opposite sides of the chess board these days, someday soon I’d like to sit down with him and chat…just like old times.”
"Zebulon! A great ally, amazing contact, always does the job excellently. I can always rely on her for a job well done. But I suppose it helps to have a great amount of cash to spare for the work. Haha."
"Ah- the legendary Phoenix of Peak! Does fantastic work, it took me a bit of time to truly meet with him, but he's quite entertaining. Misery loves company, and he seems like quite the agonized type. No worries, I'll keep the merlot for when you've found a new vice to indulge in. Cigarettes are quite a good relaxant, sure. But once they stop feeling the same, you'll be sure to look for a new way to dull your senses."
Yeah, I heard of Vanny. Hell, who hasn't? Fucker's all over the goddamn underworld, it's a surprise it took me so long to meet him face to face. He's fine I guess. Can't hate a guy funding my cigs, y'know? Wouldn't mind having a smoke with him every now and then, but I don't care for the drinks. Save the wine for the next guy over, will ya?
"It's almost amusing, if anything. So very often, I've tried my best to keep my head down- but I suppose not. Perhaps, even, this one may be the key to finally putting me away- to taking me out of the equation completely-! ... pffft. Kidding, of course. I've heard it all before, fools- hungry for glory, begging to be the ones to bash my head in. There's a reason for everything, my friend. Maybe think of that before you insist on those deeds. Or you'll find yourself slipping further down that podium into something that you'll truly fear becoming."
Vanocka Ciabatta, the Kingpin of the Black Market himself. While it is true that my Unit had been dispatched for many a raid on his establishments, he always seems to slip away unnoticed before we arrive at the scene. How curious that none of us were ever ordered to follow him... He's perhaps one of the more depraved Parasites in the criminal underworld. I will not shed any tears when his due time is finally up.
