Dumbo is a relatively shy and lonely little fella, because he is so very often picked on by others, so he is very withdrawn and highly mistrusting of others. If he sees anyone coming, he will hide in an effort to avoid confrontation and the risk of meeting another individual who will make fun of him. Dumbo is also very self-conscious and has a love-hate relationship when it comes to his ears. It would take a truly loving soul to coax him out of his shy, self-conscious shell to make him see that not everyone will be mean to him because of his ears. Dumbo doesn't talk much at all, in fact, during much of his childhood, he's likely to keep to himself to avoid being bullied and not talk much at all unless he feels he absolutely has to. He will be exceptionally clingy to those friends he does make and this will likely carry on into adulthood. The only time when Bo is truly himself is when he is alone and no one is around to judge him. When he is alone, he is just like any other little young male Purgo, he is playful, inquisitive, and rather energetic. Dumbo has a HUGE imagination, which he puts to good use entertaining himself and making him feel better. By the time that Dumbo becomes an adult, he will have grown up to be much more confident in himself and will have learned not to be quite so shy or as self-conscious, though there will likely be remnants of his shyness and self-consciousness when it comes to girls. He will still have a very active imagination and big dreams.
