By Ankuri standards, Esko is a regular ray of sunshine. Enthusiastic and outgoing, Esko has taken to coping with life's various setbacks by holding on to the one persistant truth she can find: The world is going to end. There are a hundred little apocalypses every single day, but! There's always a world after. And that world needs building.
Esko was born to a Warren out in Sector's end. That warren is long gone now. She and what remained of her family moved to another warren- that too, is now gone. The third one still stands, but she found herself moving again to the Hive when her older sibling volunteered to be loaned out as a goodwill ambassador- and experienced scouter. Across the various warrens she developed an aptitude and passion for well-digging and construction work, which has helped her family wedge themselves even further into the community.
Unfortunately, her sibling's sudden disabling well before their allotted loan period was up has left the family position rather precarious- it is uncertain how long they will be allowed to stay in the Hive, and whether or not they'd even make it back to their 'home' Warren. Still, Esko remains grounded and positive. Whatever happens, they've gotten through it before. And if they don't, well... it stops being their problem, doesn't it?
Blake
[ Friend! ] Once you spend enough time at the bar to be on a first-name basis with the bartender, aren't you basically friends? Not that that exempts her from working to pay off an overrun tab. She doesn't mind though, Blake is a more decent sort than he likes to let on- even when she's all paid up, she's happy to help put up the chairs at closing time.
Iota
[ A New Old Pal ] Both born in the same now-defunct Warren, Esko only knew Iota in passing back then. But it's nice to see others from the old Warren still around, so the two have struck up a friendship that might seem a little odd to the outside. Iota's a gloomy sort, but Esko doesn't seem to mind. If anything, she seems more likely to laugh and agree with his pessimism.
Boingo
[ Let's Go Eyeburns! ] He's a hard guy to miss for sure, both by pelt and personality, but Esko's a fan of their music, and you can often find the two hanging around at Blake's night club together, playing games or just chatting. Together, they make 2/3rds of the most devastating team Trivia Night has ever seen.
