Little Allister technically has a loving home, but it is too busy and crowded for her. Her family lets her outside, thinking she's agitated from being kept indoors. Allie doesn't feel safe out there, but she doesn't feel safe inside either. Every day, she wanders farther and farther, meeting strangers, and hoping that someone, somewhere, will take her in. But they tend to see her collar and assume that she has a home somewhere else, and that they shouldn't interfere.
