The Foxy Vixen. You must have encounter this trope at some point in your life. In case a reminder is needed, this trope focuses on the nature of a fox. Cunning, craftiness, and sometimes aggressiveness have been the fox's bread and butter in most fiction. Being the guileful tricksters they are, foxes have been portrayed as having a talent for conning and outsmarting others for their own ends throughout history, to the point that the word "fox" today is basically synonymous with slyness. But when they aren't being portrayed as sneaky, thieving scoundrels, these animals have a major association with another specific, yet entirely different set of characteristics in fiction: attractiveness, sexuality, and feminine beauty. The result is that whenever there is a character with fox motifs in a work where animal motifs are commonplace — they will more likely than not be the most attractive and/or sexualized character in the work.

So where does this take us? Well, this takes to Tanaka. Honor and dishonor has been the two things that Tanaka has been taught throughout his life. These two traits would help shape the nature of who Tanaka is. When he is honorable, he comes across as charismatic, cunning and a friend of many. To those who trust him and earn his respect, he is a kind fox that inspire others to follow whatever dreams they have in order to gain a identity. His honor serves as his mask that allows him to walk amongst others without earning the ire and annoyance of troublesome individuals. His honor hides his dishonorable nature. With his dishonor, he is a man of deception and malicious that is willing to manipulate others to get what he needs. is it out of entertainment? Is it out of spite? Is it out of a need to be top of a food chain? No one knows. Tanaka is not a character that you can easily unravel as the man has quite a poker face.

However, even someone like him is willing to drop his mask when exposed to the right person. This is a fact that can be easily shown through his encounter with Yuuto. The man wasn't quite expecting his travels through the lands with Chiyo will lead to them discovering the demigod. In fact, he wasn't expecting to learn that they were a bounded pair known as "The Fallen". Bounded Pairs were supposedly two or more fated individuals that were supposedly meant to be together for eternity as the 'Gods' have chosen it. Those bounded are considered bless as a result. However, very few actually realize they are bounded pair as there are very few that exist in the world. Not only that but information about bounded pairs is quite scarce so it was hard to know what benefits and hindrances it had to offer.

It was meeting Yuuto and learning of their connection that Tanaka made it his life mission to make sure Yuuto get the happy ending that he deserved.
