Edwin O’Leary is the deuteragonist of Another Story. He is excitable and friendly, but also impulsive and a bit blunt. He recently got a promotion within the ranks of Umbers Inc. and now works directly alongside Calvin. Edwin is decent at improvising, but terrible at lying, which makes him an interesting companion on the type of fast-paced jobs the two complete on the daily. Edwin is fond of collecting and categorizing things, especially plants and souvenirs.
RELATIONSHIPS:
- Calvin Wykowski: Edwin is instantly interested by Calvin and excited to have a new work partner. Despite their initial arguments, Ed is insistent upon giving him second chances. Once they iron things out, Calvin becomes Edwin's new favorite person to hang out with. It is really important to him that Calvin and Mina get along (he's really trying to establish a friend group of people his age and "get out there" so to speak) Ed finds Calvin a little finnicky and hard to read at times, but it doesn't get in the way of their friendship.
- Mina Southcourt: Edwin's inseparable friend, the sister he never had. In ways that gradually unfold we see that Mina saved his life in more ways than one. While the two seem to be total opposites, they have a deeply important connection. They have learned a lot from one another, and find that their differences often bring them closer together. Mina also gave Edwin a real sense of family when he had no one by taking him in to the Southcourt home for an extended stay. Thanks to her, he was able to get on his feet again and live independently.
