Cato was born on Aldrajëa, a small planet known as a popular tourist destination thanks to its lush vegetation and 'exotic' inhabitants. Krevali tend to resemble what humans are familiar seeing in religious lore as Demons, and get a generally bad rap for their appearance and various practices that would get them crucified in some cultures. Despite that, they're generally friendly and welcoming to tourists, many of whom end up having much wilder nights than they might have envisioned. Cato, however, is the shining example of why many species feel wary of the Krevali race. He lacks a real sense of empathy, and revels in the pain and suffering of others. When his parents abandoned him as a child, he was left to largely fend for himself and eventually found himself on an intergalactic crime spree that's getting increasingly heated as he gets brave enough to pull off bigger and bloodier heists.

With Cato's generally snappy attitude and violent hobbies, it's easy to assume he's nothing but a heartless criminal. However, there is a soft core to his ragged exterior - and it's slowly encouraged out as you get closer to him. He has an obsession with creating fabric dolls (usually inspired by his friends) and collecting/painting miniatures in his free time, although he keeps that part of his life incredibly private and hidden. He's short-tempered, but fiercely protective and loyal to the people who matter to him. He does enjoy rather morbid hobbies, but also spends a lot of time and energy making the people he loves happy.

Cato is part of what I call a 'Space AU', which is basically just a huge universe full of different species interacting in a Mass-Effect style open world where universal translators and inter-species' communication have become commonplace.
