A lab experiment to develop humans with psychic powers. Born from a test tube, and raised very carefully (perhaps too carefully) because of the escape of the previous experiment who was much more violent than her (Perla). Compared to her, Esmeralda is a lot more mellow, but she has no idea why people treat her like she's constantly about to blow something up
The lab workers actually don't know what kinds of powers she has to their fullest extent, but she does primarily have telekinesis along with some minor clairvoyance. Not so much explosion powers like Perla has. Esmeralda also doesn't suffer from the same chronic migaines that Perla does, and doesn't seem to have a consequence to her powers. Or perhaps she's just a lot better at masking than Perla is. She is allotted special permissions compared to the other experiments just because of how scared the workers are of her. She can basically live as a normal woman as long as she comes back to the lab at the end of the day.
