Latria

- Able to use impact magic to manipulate the effects of an impact created by her.

- Uses a variety of explosives that she creates in combat, ranging from small bombs to massive explosives that cause fires that cannot be extinguished for days.

Latria is a girl from Ignis with a very happy-go-lucky attitude. Latria had found an affinity for creating explosives at a very young age, something that was extremely worrying to her parents, but not really something that they could stop, as no matter how hard they tried to hide things that could be used to make explosives, Latria would somehow manage to find a way to create an explosive. Growing up, she spent a lot of time with her twin sister Shinobu, who would often drag her out of her room to go play on the beach with her. She didn’t dislike being outside, it was just that she preferred to stay inside while working on things, but it wasn’t like she could say no to her sister. She loved going outside to test her new explosives, usually throwing them out into the beach where nothing was visible and seeing how high she could blast sand into the sky. Latria inherited her mother’s impact magic, which allowed her to grant greater or lesser effects to any impact created by herself. Coupled with her explosives it was amazing that nobody had died from the blasts. 

While she knew that she was extremely good at exploding things, the rest of the world didn’t really have an appreciation for her odd talent, forcing her to look into other subjects to keep herself entertained. By middle school she had all but dropped traditional explosives in favor of mixing chemicals to create things almost as bad if not worse than her usual explosives, ranging from rocks that shattered into clusters (and then exploded), to acid that melted through anything for the first 5 seconds after being created. Latria was clearly very intelligent in the field of chemistry, but she just required a push in the right direction to avoid accidentally becoming one of the most wanted people in Anima. Latria spent a lot of time on chat rooms and forums with her sister, which is where she met Rose. Rose was familiar with dangerous parts of a field like chemistry due to her experience with botany and dangerous flowers, which helped her bond with Latria over their shared experience in being unable to completely explore their fields.

In high school, Latria began working on chemistry that was a lot less dangerous to the people around her, which allowed for many doors to open for her. She was encouraged by her teachers to pursue a future in chemistry. Latria was extremely talented at chemistry but without being able to explode things she started to lose interest in it, so she decided to look for a hobby to get her through the boring aspects of chemistry. She looked around online for hobbies and stumbled across a forum for maid enthusiasts. She became extremely interested in maids, their history, and the various types of maid outfits that would be worn, almost to a worrying degree, as she began to wear some maid outfits herself regularly. Near the end of high school she and her sister got notified by Rose that they wouldn’t need to worry about looking for schools to attend since she pulled some strings to get them accepted into Grand Heart University. 

Latria’s first year was rather uneventful, mostly spent in the school labs working on her own, required to not explode, projects. Rose suggested that Latria start looking for a place off campus that she could use as a lab without as many restrictions. Latria considered it, but without money she wouldn’t be able to get a lab or materials needed for anything she wanted to work on, so she looked for a job. Mint heard from Rose that Latria was looking for a job and offered her work at Mintea & Coffee. Latria asked if Mint could consider turning the café into a maid café, and Mint saw no problem with it so she went ahead and allowed the change.

Latria spends most of her free time in Mintea & Coffee or in a school lab. She is a member of the monster hunting group Minty Fresh.
