Personality:

Alyster isn't exactly what you would call OCD but he does function best when there are set rules and goals in place for his missions. He doesn't believe in the saying "There is no such thing as a stupid question". There are. Lots of them. He gets annoyed with stupid people and their stupid questions very easily, quickly losing his patience and ignoring them. He takes everything seriously, not recognizing a joke even if it were standing there screaming at him. Even as a child he wasn't as lighthearted as his peers (although he wasn't as bad as he is now). 

Magic:

His magic stems from the tattoo on his gloves, allowing him to cast various spells with only incantations instead of the usual incantations + sign weaving. His specialty is lightning magic, the hard merciless element matching perfectly with his unflinching personality. His fighting style is very textbook, he has mastered the basics to a T and moves with effortless efficiency. While this may seem very predictable to some people, his defense and offense are almost without weakness since he has mastered the tried and true techniques passed down through the ages.
