Brandon is the "bad twin" to August's "good twin", but is everything as it seems?

Extremely blunt and brutally (but not cruelly) honest, Brandon is rather quick to get attached to people that can tolerate his brash exterior. He prides himself on being able to empathise with people and actually caring about things (unlike August, who just shrugs and says "What’s the point? They’re just going to drift out of our lives eventually.", frustrating Brandon to no end) He's addicted to the internet, rhythm games, and bubble tea, though he has a plethora of other interests as well. Brandon likes learning languages and wants to be a linguist when he’s older - that or a voice actor, or a herpetologist (snakes are just so COOL, and their scales are so soft!). Unlike August he's a mediocre cook, though he pretends to be a expert. Despite his cool exterior he's surprisingly easily embarrassed, prone to rolling around his bed and screaming into a pillow when overwhelmed. Brandon has a poor tolerance for fast food despite it making up the majority of his meals, and he’d probably survive on liquids if August didn’t cook for both of them.

Brandon is rather resentful of his twin, and doesn't hide the fact that he thinks August is soft-spoken and nonjudgemental so he can be passive-aggressive about how stupid he thinks Brandon is without anyone calling him out for it. They were never visibly close, even as children, but Brandon still knows where August is at any given time with almost 100% accuracy. Same goes for August, though he’s often silent on the matter because the teachers would harass him constantly if it became widely knew. Brandon is really good at the claw machine from long, painful experience — he can tell almost immediately when one has been rigged — though he has bad aim in pretty much every other game, and is particularly poor at shooters. He always stops at the roadside claw machines whenever the family goes on a road trip to visit his grandmother, and August keeps a army of plushies that Brandon won him on their bedside drawer. It's one of the few signs of affection between them.
