Yingying is a bit like a natural disaster. They're wild, unrestrained, and unafraid to say exactly what they're thinking, regardless of the consequences. It's very easy to get pulled into their orbit- they're confident, charming, chatty and relentless. Once they take an interest in someone it's as if they've made it their life's mission to grab their attention, even if that attention is negative. They have a fox like nature, mischevious and sneaky and carefree. They can be a bit morbid at times, having a bit of a fascination with dead things and the afterlife in general. Despite all this though, they are very kind at heart and refuse to turn a blind eye to injustice. They're always willing to stand up for someone if they think they're being treated unfairly, even at the expense of their own reputation, which they admittedly don't care much about in the first place.

- That said their favorite forms besides their main one are their animal form (fox) and feral companions
- In addition to this they can be drawn with anywhere from one to nine tails

Xia is Yingying's big sister and favorite person in the whole world- they're very close. They aren't related biologically, but Xia has been caring for Yingying since they were a sprout, and has always treated them as a precious younger sibling. Yingying is well aware of the power they have over her and always uses it for evil (getting lots of attention and cuddles and snacks).
Xiao Gua is the youngest sibling in their family- though they fight a lot, it's never serious, and he and Yingying are actually very close, near to the point of inseperability. Yingying takes their role as an older sibling very seriously, so most of their interactions with their brother are opposite what they are with their sister. Yingying is the one who started calling their brother "little melon", and it just sort of stuck.
Yingying had a bit of a... rocky start, with Azure. They decided that they liked him almost instantly, and in what has proven to be a successful attempt to get him to pay attention to them, they started annoying him relentlessly. They let up a bit after getting Azure to admit they were friends. Despite everyone else knowing it, they were very surprised (but pleased!) when they discovered he had romantic feelings for them, and now the two of them are a very affectionate couple.
Nectar is one of Xia's friends, so Yingying sees her quite often. They're always very happy to see her, mostly because she's very kind and has picked up a habit of coddling them from their sister. Yingying unashamedly loves the attention.
