108 doesn't see the appeal of having a consistent identity, let alone a human one. For them, reality is a wonderful playground full of pleasures to be experienced, and "being someone" is merely a means to that end.

Their eye for detail and unique ability make them really good at acting - and when they do something, they put all their effort into it. For every new hobby that catches their eye, they build new unique persona to enjoy it through. Their life as a regular at the board cafe is completely separate from the person their fishing buddies know, and neither have anything to do with their Alcyon work. How would they get the full experience otherwise?

If there's anything real under the layers of illusion, then it's most visible when 108 is with their peers. Unlike their superiors, or their buddies at the arcade, they feel that they have little to hide from fellow diels of similar rank. Unfortunately, this also means they become a rather rude person who says whatever comes to mind and cheerfully misunderstands other diels' quests for identity. They don't tend to make a lot of friends.

108 has a below-average mist supply for their rank. In the field, they primarily support their teammates by disorienting the opponent with illusions. If pressed, they can do a surprising amount of damage by exploiting gaps in an opponent's mist guard, but they're ultimately not a fighter and won't last long without backup.

During initial interviews, 108 requested a cheap shell with sparser and less naturalistic skin plating. They have since modified it extensively with both practical and aesthetic upgrades, including beaklike teeth, retractable claws, and telescoping vision.

For practical combat purposes, their vent limit is approximately 15 minutes; however, venting only one or two cheek tentacles gives them access to a limited version of Seamless for up to several hours, which they use off-duty to pass as human in their various hobbies.

Seamless (天衣無縫, Tenimuhou) allows the user to shape their mist into illusions within approximately 10m of their body. The illusions can be fine-tuned to a ridiculous extent; 108 can completely hide their presence, perfectly mimic a person's appearance and mist signature down to the smallest detail, or even pretend to be a small crowd or a patch of terrain.

Seamless only affects vision, hearing, and mist-sense. It cannot fool a particularly keen nose, or trick someone into thinking they have been hurt. If 108 impersonates someone, it doesn't give them any knowledge of how the person usually acts, either; as such, they prefer to make up completely original forms for long-term disguises.

Additionally, Seamless is limited by 108's small mist supply. For example, if they impersonated someone stronger than them, the illusion would be quite obvious to anyone with decent mist-sense. Any mist used to create an illusion cannot be used to attack or defend at the same time, so the more elaborate their illusions are, the weaker they become.
