Appearance
(Beast)

Massive in all ways, to put it simply. Neck is thick and packed with muscle, highly flexible, leading to a blocky head. Long, messily placed teeth. Small mouth but wide gape- cheeks tear regularly when gorging large prey. Three seemingly cervine legs, and one misshapen mix between a cloven hoof and a two clawed digits. Bulky, used for grasping, digging, clawing and dealing heavy hits. Also capable of smaller, fine movements when picking up delicate items. Never keeps a solid coat color. Forest magic constantly changes the appearance of his fur that closely matches the spells cast on him. By default, his coat is a dark, rusted red. While often depicted white in artistic portrayals, eyes are a solid black and usually covered by a messy forelock.
Appearance

Stands at a looming 7 feet, heavily built. Both muscled and heavy set all at once. Messy, unkempt and red-tinged hair. Sports a bestial right arm that he can never get to look fully human even in this form.
Often dressed ridiculously- has no sense of fashion. Wears whatever to cover himself appropriately.
Hunches to appear smaller.

The only scars that permanently remain on him appear to be the ones on his face. Cheeks are torn from widening his maw during battles or attacks.

Forms

- Deerlike beast within the Endless Forest. His pelt is everchanging, closely matching the pelt spells he's hit with. Can choose to this form on within any areas that don't bar it.
- Forced into his humanoid form outside of the forest, within heavily humanoid-populated areas. Rarely able to change this.
- Forced into his base beast form in areas not populated by humans. Able to change this at will within areas that don't bar it.
- Unlike most Dahmean species, unable to enter a compact (smaller and less intimidating) form.

Massively loving and, if comfortable, highly affectionate. Puts those he loves before himself and in subtle ways, constantly aims to show appreciation. Would lose his life for even loose friends, would take a thousand for those he loves. Not that this equates to much in the end.

An incredibly hard worker. Always sees tasks out to the end.

Ruled by emotions. An often stoic and imposing visage is easily broken when approached. Once conversation or interaction begins, it becomes apparent that the Glutton is immensely nervous and entirely lacking of self esteem. aka he looks potentially intimidating unless you get within 10 feet of him or make eye contact hahahah
Is easily moved to extreme reactions by seemingly meaningless events, words, or sights. This coupled with his size, renders him something of a dangerous individual.

Seemingly, entirely incapable of feeling justified or proud of anything he would do to bring harm to others. Would feel shame even when fighting a bloodthirsty beast away from an innocent victim, if only because he thinks of himself as no better.

Fear, sadness and guilt manifest in what often appears to be anger. Too weak of mind and emotion to truly be called just and 'good', in truth- for every good gesture, is just as likely to shut down in the face of minor arguments and bar efforts to move past them, turn protectiveness to an extreme possessiveness.

When put in simple terms, easily and undeniably categorized as an over reactive and dangerous individual though he tries his best to be anything but. Just as easily seen as unintelligent for his lack of self control and emotional instability coupled with his expressionless face in moments of calmness.

These traits manifest with most ease in his bestial form.

Wracked with a crippling lack of self worth and confidence, as well as an overabundance of inward resentment for traits he'd never defend or deny. Fights with constant efforts to be better than he is, regardless.


Easily drawn to toxicity and those who treat him unkindly simply because he feels less guilt for his inevitable eruptions when faced with those as low as himself.

Lashes out physically with minimal provocation, (though said provocation would need to be intentional, at least perceived as such by Bhaelum himself), and less predictably, overstimulation. Despite all the genuine guilt and regret to follow, actions done can't be changed.
Just as easily snapped into seemingly unprovoked attempts to hunt down smaller beasts that make quick movements.
Hunting and attacks 'provoked' by overstimulation manifest primarily in his bestial form.

the lore

Creation. . .

Created by 'Ichor' during the Lead Glass's failed attempt to resurrect his parents on 9.3.2017. Cursed when they were sprayed with blood from the white fawn during the blast that resulted from their 'birth'.
Born severely altricial, more like a fetus than a formed child. Developed over the course of a month or so, being cared for by Ichor before escaping from the hollow that the (then) fawn had kept him in after an extended period of scarce feedings.
Formed from pieces of those in the grave he came from. Iile, Morh, stray blood and chunks of flesh from Ioten.

Childhood. . .

Spent his infancy locked up by the Lead Glass and his childhood making and breaking friendships within the forest. Snapped on numerous occasions and preyed on other children. Made amends with those he could, though remained on edge with many others.
Most days, made efforts to fill his stomach with rocks, dirt and grass to avoid the urge to hunt others but this proved to do little more than make him ill.
Tore a friend's leg away one night, nearly killing the fawn. Was chased through the forest by two individuals, and after flinging himself into the pond in a panic and nearly drowning, taken from the forest by one of them. While returned to the forest relatively unharmed, left shaken by the event.

Masked and declawed by his Maker for months afterwards, until Ichor's care for his behavior, curiously, seemed to slip.
Most of his adolescence and early adulthood followed similar trends to his childhood, though will less frequency as he isolated himself.

Adulthood (Current). . .


Lives near Morganna, mostly as something of a farmhand, as well as a guard. Keeps the predators away from her livestock. Paid well in turn.

Continues to isolate himself, and has nothing of a social life aside from occasional visits with Morganna when doing the work she requires from him.
Sometimes, though rarely, invited to dinners at her home.
Busies himself with his work and does little else. Complicit in his loneliness for the most part.

Blubbering and sniffling at the spot of his birth after some unexpected and harsh words from Ichor who he can't figure out, as usual. Was told to go sit there and think, so he is. he's a simple lad




Past. . .

Grei ma came to 'see' him. Likes to think that she just has her own way of showing love and actually misses him when he's not around. :') Was pretty convinced at a few points that she was trying to chase him away and did almost run at some point but turned around and worked some pitiful charm until she stopped snapping at him because he's LONELY PLEASE MOM. it worked...! Eventually followed her to what he assumed was her home spot and curled up with her. Happy.

Curses

  • ⋅ Cursed with a mix of gluttony and wrath during his creation ⋅
    Driven by a painful need to hunt and consume, that, if ignored or left unsatisfied, leads to a rapid deterioration in physical and mental health. Only sated by consuming at least part of a living being. Primarily hunts wild, non sapient animals in Dahmea. A source of self loathing and guilt.
    Has mostly learned to control the urge to feast on whatever or whoever is closest to him, but isn't entirely capable of holding back when hit with the right stimulus.

  • During adulthood after a number of rampages, was also cursed with healing blood that only heals when given unwillingly. Cannot help those he loves- unintentionally aids those he battles. While not particularly helpful unless in direct contact with the injuries sustained, consumption does a great deal to speed up recovery. (this is mostly to nerf him a bit in battle because he's a giant rampaging monster.)
  • More of an unintentional biproduct of Ichor's curses, finds himself easily drawn to and susceptible to the words of white haired or furred individuals- even moreso if they have light eyes.
Trivia

  • ⋅ Dangerously quick to become- often unintentionally- possessive of small individuals who give him attention. Does all he can to protect them, and begins to view even harmless situations and company as threats. In addition, has a major fear of those he likes speaking to those he doesn't know, for fear they'll be turned against him. Aware that warnings against him are often justified, but fears rejection deeply nonetheless.
    ⋅ Due to Ichor's curse, holds an obsession for those who look similar to the stag. Drawn to light furred individuals, the petite and soft. Battered with his thoughts often comparing and linking anything and everything to the Blood Reaper. Maddening, but unavoidable for the most part.
    ⋅ Speech is impeded and difficult to understand due to the alignment of his teeth and jaw. Unable to pronounce certain letters. Tends not to talk to avoid embarrassing himself. Voice is deep but soft.
    ⋅ Has a number of motor tics. Snaps his teeth at the air, flares his hackles and snarls without provocation once in a while- more often when stressed.
    ⋅ Intensely claustrophobic.
    ⋅ Calmed by pelt spells being cast on him but damaged and sent into a frenzy by the devout spell.
    ⋅ Dislikes sweets, chocolate, candies or fruits.
    ⋅ Varying fear of deep water.
    ⋅ Hard of hearing, made anxious by quiet or stuttered speakers. Able to hear clearly as a child, hears less and less as time goes on. A source of frustration and mourning.

    ⋅ Suffers from tremors and loss of motor control when highly stressed.
