Ebony Gibson

EARLY LIFE

Ebony was born to a small but affluent family in Scotland, both of her parents being well-known business-people who co-ran a company that specializes in collaborating with museums and art-related organizations, as well as sponsoring them. Despite having little background in the Arts, the couple often called themselves artists - it was clear they are rather conceited, but their wealth allowed them past virtually anything. Because of the family's status, they had high expectations for their only child. They cared little for Ebony's actual wellbeing, causing her relationship with them to be sour from the start.

The family's dynamic only worsened when Ebony found out that they are a weapon-hyprid, although their weapon form was rather unconventional - their parents saw no use in an "electric guitar", and shamed them into keeping their abilities a secret. This also led to them keeping their own transgender identity a secret at the cost of their own mental health, which quickly deteriorated. All these stressors eventually led them to make the impulsive decision of running away, which was solidified when they found out about the DWMA. At the age of 12, they packed their belongings and set off to Death City. After being enrolled and settling down, they found it much easier to express themselves; they also started working as a waitress at a local cafe.

ADULTHOOD

On one "fateful day", Ebony became partners with a talented young meister who somehow managed to make his way up to the EAT class without a weapon. The two were truly a pair of dimes, with Constance making perfect use of her weapon form that her parents made her to believe was completely useless - combined with his deep loyalty and respect towards her as a person as well, she thrived more than ever. At the age of 16, she was made into a Death weapon, marking the pair as the most powerful out of the entire EAT class at the time. Following such, they were both promoted to three-stars.

Contrary to Ebony's excitement and desire to continue working for the Academy, Constance wanted to leave to start a music career. Not wanting to abandon him because of how close they are and all that he's done for them, they agreed to go with him. After graduation, the pair left Death City together to return to his hometown in Spain, where he kickstarted his music career. Using their weapon form as a regular electric guitar, he quickly gained a name in the music world and soon started performing at larger stages, eventually becoming a travelling musician. Although they themselves don't exactly have a job, they're very satisfied with where they are and don't mind just being his support at all.
