Story


Pre-Campaign

Raised in a restrictive colony of water genasi, Alurei grew bitter towards their community's severe lifestyle. After years of putting up with countless expectations and unspoken rules, Alurei sought out a portal to the Feywild at the age of 15 and resolved to never return to the material plane. Soon after arriving, Alurei was attacked and subsequently saved by a young satyr named Finias. They became fast friends, and Alurei lived 12 happy years with Finias as their guide (they probably got frisky ngl. some friends to lovers type shit). During an unfortunate encounter with a malicious fey creature, Alurei was forcefully sent back to their homeplane. Upon attempting to renter the Feywild through a portal, they quickly found that they could not pass through. After visiting many portals over the next 6 months, they realized that they had been cursed to never return. During the course of this year, their memory of the Feywild and Finias grew foggy as if it were from a dream. Distraught, Alurei made their way to Ald Senna due to its reputation as a wild and chaotic place, hoping that it would feel close enough to the Feywild to ease the ache of homesickness. They are currently searching for a way to break their curse and return to the plane they call home.

Personality


Personality

Alurei has little patience for people and situations that it deems witless. They are stubborn, confident, and defiant. These are all traits that clashed terribly with the ideals of the water genasi colony Rei grew up in, so their depart from it was inevitable. Rei is prone to hysteria, and will enter a blind rage when under immense stress. Recently, Alurei has been consumed by depression and anger directed towards its situation.

Rei dislikes feeling tied down to anything or one. Its relationship with Finias never had a label, and it was understood between the two of them that whatever it was they had was open to others too. They are not one to feel or tolerate shame, and will encourage others to disregard any attempts at humiliation.
