Personality notes:

• The worst thing you can do is approach & interrupt/talk to him during a nature walk or similar.
• You may think that a grumpy bun like Fungus would hate children, and they often exhaust him, but he does his best to drop the grumpiness when dealing with children. Very young children just make no sense to him, and are very hard for him to deal with, but he finds it actually easy to deal with children at an older age, particularly when they have an idea of what they’re passionate about. Though it starts to upset him when/if they leave that passion behind as they grow up… Oh, and don’t get him started with teenagers. It doesn’t help that he doesn’t remember his own teenage period fondly.
• To build on this idea, he admires seeing someone pour their heart and soul into something they are good at and passionate about. It frustrates him to see them abandon it -- depending on the person, that frustration might be aimed at them, or likely some other factor that contributed to them stopping.
• Absolute Cannot Stand Winter. Just freezes. Will probably be very bundled up and particularly grumpy looking if you find him outdoors during winter (but it’s hard to tell versus his normal grumpy look). The other seasons are more bearable, especially if he has a tree to settle under. Spring is his favorite, because he finally gets to escape winter. You might even catch him smile on the equinox.
• He doesn’t like to show it when he happens to be happy, but it’s not really hard to tell anyway.

Porcupine [ best... friend? ]

Fungus, well, he's very grumpy and critical, choosing to dislike everyone and not spare time for them. Despite this, Porcupine has found the soft spot in his heart. He can always talk to Porcupine, and though he may not easily let on to it, he enjoys Porcupine's company very much!!
