A stylish elf in a puffy white shirt, a brown poncho worn over it with the holy symbol of his deity buttoning it, Ignazio has light brown skin and eyes two very different colors. Left eye purple, right one a light blue. The feather he wears in his ten-gallon hat is of a similar coloration to his eyes, while the starlight patterned cloak he wears flutters behind with the same distinct look as well. A half-skirt and boots the same woodsy brown as his poncho adorn the bottom portion of his body, while simple jeans offer protection for his legs.
Ignazio has a husky voice, with a heavy Chelaxian (comparable to Italian) accent. Though he disagrees with Cheliax’s laws and more specifically its punishments, he tries his best to bite his tongue when near the presence of chelaxian government officials-- and often has to reel in Aery’s criticisms. One day, he hopes to avenge the injustices that were committed against his parents. Perhaps he will, if he ever finds himself in the right circumstance. He’s a devout follower of both Calistria and Aerwyn, but devotes himself to them in vastly different ways and keeps his faith largely a secret considering Cheliax’s views on worshiping chaotic deities.
His chronic pain can make him grumpy, though he does do his best to keep a level head. While he generally tries to avoid combat, he does know how to defend himself. He is smart to know when he is outnumbered and knows when to choose his battles.
Due to his parents being taken away from him at a young age, he has difficulty being vulnerable with, trusting, and connecting with others as he feels it’ll only be a matter of time before they, too, disappear. Those who have managed to form a bond with him know him as a compassionate, devoutly religious, and resourceful person. He always makes sure to spend time with them and appreciate their presence in his life, though he has a hard time verbally expressing his gratitude.
Early Life
Eventual
As a Child
Born in Cheliax, Ignazio was originally a choir boy for the Asmodean church. With his parents, they tried to be model citizens for the city under the rule of Hell. However, chronic pain that resulted in a leg injury made life difficult for Ignazio under the Cheliax bureaucracy. Despite this, his parents did their best to care for them and keep out of the eye of the authorities. However, that didn’t last forever. One night, a group of Hellknights arrived at their home and had both of his parents arrested for stealing contracts belonging to the nobility of the city, contracts that held the terms for the continued indentured servitude of dozens of people. Unable to return the contracts they didn’t steal, but unable to prove their innocence either, Ignazio’s parents were executed for a crime they never committed. As for Ignazio, he’d have to pay for the crimes of his parents by becoming contracted to pay off the debts of every person freed. This likely would’ve been the case for his entire life if it weren’t for him discovering who was truly responsible for those people’s freedom: a procyal agathion named Andres masquerading in a mortal form, and working for the Bellflower Network. The celestial refused to let anyone else pay for his righteous crime, and rescued Ignazio, even if he couldn’t save his parents.
As an Adult
From then on, Andres raised Ignazio as his own, never revealing the truth of his form, but giving him a fierce hatred of Cheliax and passion to save those they oppressed, not too difficult after how he was treated. The other members of the Bellflower Network showed him their ways and he led a life of roguish heroism as he grew older and his adoptive father founded a city for those they freed and with nowhere else to go hidden away from Cheliax, the Oilbird’s Nest. Life was good for Ignazio from then on, there were hardships of course, the path of freedom is never an easy one after all, but fiendish forces at work in Cheliax were not finished with him yet. Ignazio’s trauma was ripe for the pickings by a dreamthief hag, the most powerful amongst the fiendish night hags. One spied on him within dream, and when he seemed most vulnerable, she attacked. Thankfully for him, a dream visitor was there to protect him from the worst of the attack, but he still ended up scarred as a portion of his soul was stolen away, along with some of his memories and last light of joy. The dream visitor, a kanya, a type of azata enamored with heroic tales, named Aerwyn, would not stand for this, however. Sacrificing her celestial form, she met with Ignazio in the Universe and together they hunted down the hag and ended her reign of terror. Thus, restoring Ignazio’s memories and the joy Aerwyn was enamored with when visiting his dreams.
Present Day
Now, Ignazio travels with Aerwyn upon a planar skiff with a strange crew of adventurers assembled by a dragon and his kobolds to see what sights the planes of the multiverse have in store. As they journey together, Ignazio finds himself growing closer to his savior and dear friend, friendship soon to blossom into romance the longer they venture into the wonderful world. For once in his life, Ignazio can finally rest easy from Cheliax and the pain it wrought upon him all those years ago.

Ancestry/Heritage Cavern Elf
Elves are a tall, long-lived people with a strong tradition of art and magic.
As an ancient people, elves have seen great change and have the perspective that can come only from watching the arc of history. After leaving Golarion in ancient times, they returned to a changed land, and they still struggle to reclaim their ancestral homes. Elves value kindness, intellect, and beauty, with many elves striving to improve their manners, appearance, and culture. Their studies delve into a level of detail that most shorter-lived peoples find excessive or inefficient. Elves are often rather private people, steeped in the secrets of their groves and kinship groups. They're slow to build friendships outside their kinsfolk, as elves who spend their lives among shorter-lived peoples often become morose after watching generations of companions age and die. These elves are known as Forlorn among their fellow elves.
Background Criminal
As an unscrupulous independent or as a member of an underworld organization, you lived a life of crime. You might have become an adventurer to seek redemption, to escape the law, or simply to get access to bigger and better loot.
Being taken under the procyal's wing, Ignazio grew up in The Oilbird's Nest, the thieves guild that Andres had established. Later, he came to work for him as well, since not many other jobs in Hyewn were as lucrative.
Class Rogue
You are skilled and opportunistic. Using your sharp wits and quick reactions, you take advantage of your opponents’ missteps and strike where it hurts most. You play a dangerous game, seeking thrills and testing your skills, and likely don’t care much for any laws that happen to get in your way. While the path of every rogue is unique and riddled with danger, the one thing you all share in common is the breadth and depth of your skills.
Racket: Thief
Nothing beats the thrill of taking something that belongs to someone else, especially if you can do so completely unnoticed. You might be a pickpocket working the streets, a cat burglar sneaking through windows, or even a consultant, testing clients’ vaults for openings.
Archetype Mind Smith
Many think of mental realms and mindscapes as rare and elaborate constructions, forgetting that everyone creates their own mental realm when they sleep, one where even the strangest occurrences seem perfectly normal. Anything is possible inside these dreamscapes, but few sapient creatures have the will and insight to take control and truly explore their unconscious mind.
Sleepwalkers dedicate themselves to unlocking the secrets of the sleeping mind, taking control of their dreams and walking through the slumbering vistas of others. Some are nefarious manipulators, whispering to the slumbering for personal gain. Others use their powers for good, seeking evildoers and those who corrupt dreams to nightmares. As their power grows, a sleepwalker's appearance gradually becomes slightly indistinct, as though they were blurred around the edges, and those who encounter them find it difficult to recall exact details about their appearance.
Sword Cane [ Item 0 ]
A sword cane that Aerwyn gave to him after seeing his old beat up cane. Underneath the tip is her holy symbol.
Wheelchair (Traveler's Chair) [ Item 0 ]
A traveler's chair is tailored for frequent adventures and travels. The design is sleek and fashionable to provide excellent comfort and support. A traveler's chair has small mechanisms, either made from interlocking wood pieces, clockwork, or other devices, that allow the chair to traverse up or down stairs without any additional difficulty (moving up stairs is still difficult terrain, just like for other characters), and move through other common adventuring terrain without any additional difficulty, such as ladders and uneven ground.
Holy Amulet [ Item 0+ ]
An enameled pendant of a cloud split into two sides. The left is light teal with a gold closed eye, and the right a dark purple with an open eye. Between these is a gold spiral, and surrounding the cloud is a silver lining.
Charlatan's Gloves [ Item 9 ]
Tiny silver hooks decorate these fine silk gloves. They grant a +1 item bonus to Thievery and allow you to cast telekinetic hand as an innate occult spell.
Aerwyn the Dreamweaver
Completely out of left field, he fell in love the moment they met-- he just didn't realize it was love until much later. Keeping people at an arm's length all your life will do that to you.
He's constantly trying to flirt with her, but she seems oblivious to his advances.

Trivia
- Sword Cane: They have nerve damage in their left leg from a childhood accident involving a carriage. He uses a cane on his more painful days. Aerwyn, upon seeing how damaged it was from long-time use, fixed it and gave it a new form as a sword cane he can now use in combat! They also have a wheelchair that they use when their pain is at its worst
- Shy Singer: He has a wonderful singing voice. They used to sing for the church of the Offering Plate in his birthplace, but gave up after being bullied for it. He only feels comfortable singing in Aerwyn's presence. The two bond over singing for each other, as they both have anxiety with performing in front of others.
- Don't Call me That: Her middle name is Elmo. People in town like to tease them by calling him by it. She loathes being called Elmo because he thinks it sounds ridiculous.
- Secret Nerd: Occasionally explores the cave the town resides in to hunt for interesting rocks, fossils, and gems. If she had the opportunity, he'd pursue a career in geology for sure! For now, they satiate his curiosity with trips to the library and learning what he can from one of the oread locals who protect the deeper parts of the caves.
- Would if he could:
She has an impeccable taste in fashion, but doesn't have the wealth to put it to good use. Every time he enters the Dreamlands with Aery, he gives himself a fancy outfit-- partially to show off to her.
Design Notes
