Personality

Leanne is someone who was quite isolated as a child, as money was tight and she had to help out her parents with their shop. As a result, they’re always looking for new friends, and that might have been what led to their magic taking the form of summoned familiars. She tries to be open and honest, but understands that white lies are necessary.

Given recent events, Leanne has taken an interest in the city hidden in the Fae plains, as it might be her ticket home, and will jump at the opportunity to go back there.

Appearance

Leanne is a slightly short girl, with fair skin, some freckles on her face and very western features. She has long, brown hair, usually tied back in a pony-tail, and pink eyes. They usually keep their nails well-trimmed, for hygiene reasons.

Their style of clothing consists of sturdy shirts tucked into their magic school pants. They always wear a nice, slightly too large coat, and thigh-high boots that they’ve owned ever since their first day at the Magic Academy.

Leanne’s familiars have a symbiotic relationship with her. Whenever she calls upon them, they are allowed to feed on her magical energy, while also protecting her from those wanting to do her and her friends harm. Although there are a couple of recurring creatures she calls upon, with one in particular being a thorn in her side, sometimes weirder creatures step up to the plate, like the half-squid half-kids.

Leanne Weber is the youngest child of a pair of merchants from the Leicester alliance. Growing up in a small, friendly village, Leanne was taught from a young age the importance of community and being nice to others.

When she turned 13, a mage from the Royal School of Sorcery noticed a burgeoning talent for magic in her, and asked her if she wanted to study the art of magic. She returned home after a year, with the same mage expelling her due to causing many explosive incidents. Soon after, she moved to the county of Ordelia, where more independent mages lived, to at least help her control the magic she possessed.

Eventually, she found a job as a housekeeper for a noblewoman who was seemingly somewhere in her fifties. The woman quickly took a shine to Leanne, and revealed her past as a sorcerer, offering to try and teach Leanne in return for taking on a bit more responsibility around the house. Over those years of early adulthood, she learned a lot about the more noble, courtly side of etiquette and mannerisms, as well as figuring out why she could barely cast a spell when she accidentally summoned her first companion, a small wisp of flame. And then… the Fae of Selenicca took note, and spirited her away from Fódlan.

Present Day

After arriving in Selenicca, Leanne took some time to get her bearings, before finding the Dual Wings Merc Guild. After explaining herself, the higher brass of the guild took her in, as it was quite a common story to hear around the country of Courcé. One of the first times they gave her a job, it was to provide opposition during the Yearly Colorfest, an event where people have fun attacking balloons that will explode with ink. Soon after, she was hired to escort a person back to the Fae Plains, where they have a city that they keep hidden using special magic. Although she wasn’t allowed inside that time, Leanne has started looking for an excuse to go back, to see what they all know about the Fae.
