Astara

Profile

The daughter of a mortal zonai and an immortal fox god, Astara walks the surface world in ancient times with both of their divine powers at her beck and call, wiping out monster populations when and where she finds them. The one exception to this is lynels, who she has a sort of mutual respect and coexistence with. After all, unlike other monsters who are essentially just malice made manifest, lynels are actually intelligent, with their own sort of society. One that respects her strength, and her in turn. That doesn't mean they can't be just as malicious, of course, but Astara would prefer not to commit actual murder thank you, not unless its necessary

While Astara doesn't possess a secret stone - she doesn't really need to, being a demigod - if she were to have one it would be etched with the essence of ice, the elemental aptitude she inherited from her zonai father, rather than her mother's sacred fire. In fact, these stones are said to be the tears of the gods, or even dragon tears, though Astara has no way of confirming this. Her tears don't solidify into stone, after all. Personally, she favors the dragon theory, but in a world of spirits, mortals, demons, and divinities, who's to say what the truth is?

In typical zonai fashion, Astara has adorned herself in all manner of jewelry, silks, tassels, and even flowers. What can she say, they as a people thrive on making such luxurious accessories practical despite all appearances to the contrary. It definitely adds to the awe seeing her in battle evokes; silk floating all around her pristine form, untouched even when surrounded by all manner of filth. It's a statement as much as it is something that brings her joy to wear, evoking fear as much as it does beauty. Obviously neither she or her myriad of accessories are immune to getting dirty, but it takes a lot to get a demigod into that state, much less a full-on deity like her mother

But if they can? Anything capable of pushing a deified spirit that far is something to be afraid of, or respected. Or both. It depends on the person, and while the last one to push her mother to the brink like that in battle was her father, well. Spirits aren't exactly known for their moral compass, no matter their relative strength

(And if the whispered rumors of a demonic monster so horrifically powerful that he might as well be a god are true? That would be really, really bad)
