Magnolia is the Headwitch of the most well known and highly regarded magical schools on the European continent. Often referred to as "Headwitch Evergrove" or sometimes as "Madam Director", she cuts a rather intimidating image for the other instructors as well as the pupil. She has one child, Adelaide Evergrove, who is her pride and joy, followed by many influential and powerful students she has trained in her school. Her daughter is, as she expected, one of the greatest-- even if her father was found to be a little lacking.

She has nothing to do with her previous partner and the father of her child, Alciel Ashwood, and holds some resentment toward him, even after all these years.
