THIS SECTION CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THE CHIMERA HEART WEBCOMIC! PLEASE READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Personality:

Kara is very shy and anxious, usually not speaking unless spoken to. She is very jittery, constantly stuttering on her quiet words, and usually burying her nose in a book to avoid social interactions. However, when she does happen to make a friend, such as the equally-anxious Mazenta, she is shown to be very sweet and eager to help whatever's troubling them.

Powers and Abilities:

Kara was brought to life with demon magic. Because of this, she is immortal (with the exception of angel magic). When she cries or bleeds, Kara oozes a gooey black substance that is similar to that of demons.

Backstory (Spoilers):

Karami is a wooden marionette puppet that was given sentience by Akuma’s demon magic. Before Yami and Akuma recruited members to Yami’s Army, the two tried creating their own members, and Karami became the first member of the Army. Because of the demon magic she was created with, when she cries or bleeds she oozes black goo. Karami is also immortal, as the only thing that can kill demons is angel magic.

Aside from these, Karami does not have any special powers which leads her and Nuime to act as servants for Yami and the base. After recruiting began, Karami was sent into the public school system with other members to lure teenagers into the Army, willingly or not. Here she went by Kara and pretended that she was a wooden android rather than her true species.

History in Chimera Heart (Spoilers):

Arc 1

Mazenta meets Kara in art class, her nose in a book. After the teacher makes the class draw their table partners, Mazenta tries to make conversation to her, but to little success. Kara is quiet and stutters through her words. However, Mazenta knocks over her water bottle and it spills all over the floor. Kara offers to help, but is stunned when Mazenta refuses her help. This accident breaks the tension of the conversation, and Kara and Mazenta start to loosen up around each other. Kara reveals that although she is made of wood, she is an android, geared toward children and emotional support. At the end of class, Mazenta gives her drawing of Kara to her, causing Kara to give her her drawing in exchange. Mazenta waves her goodbye, calling Kara her "Art Buddy." Kara then leaves the classroom, meeting up with two of her housemates, Damian and Charlotte.

Arc 2

At the homecoming dance, Mazenta finds Kara sitting by herself outside of the dance floor. Kara admits that dancing really isn't her thing. Mazenta sits with her as Kara points out her housemates among the crowd. Mazenta starts to get emotional as she watches her other housemates dance, causing Kara to help her calm down. Kara offers her advice, calling Mazenta her "Art Buddy" and telling her that she shouldn't dwell on the past and should focus on the person she wants to be instead. Mazenta takes her advice to heart, taking off her bracelet and giving it to Kara, who hesitantly accepts it and puts it on. Kara asks Mazenta if she wants to dance, but Mazenta says that they should wait a few minutes, and Kara quickly agrees.

Arc 3

A few days after Yosei goes missing, Kara texts Mazenta, alerting her that she needed to talk to her and she will be at their place shortly. A knock is heard at the door and Mazenta answers, shocked and confused to see a shivering Kara on their porch. She confesses to Mazenta that she is a member of Yami’s Army. Kokoro gets in-between the two, arming her laser cannon at Kara and telling her to stay back. Mazenta steps in front of the cannon, begging Kokoro to hear Kara out. When Kara explains to Taimu, Kokoro, and Mazenta that she just wants to tell her side of things, Taimu agrees to let her. Mazenta comforts Karami as they prepare for the interrogation.

Per Mazenta’s request, Taimu allows Karami to spend the night on the condition that him and Kokoro supervise in the living room.

Mazenta is Kara's friend and "Art Buddy." Despite their equal levels of anxiousness, the pair get along well together, bonding over their passion for art.

Damian and Charlotte are Kara's housemates. Not much is known about them, but Kara describes them as "much more extroverted" than she is.
