And I only sink deeper the deeper I think...

Siren is a SeaWing raised isolated deep underwater to keep safe from the War of SandWing Succession. They've only recently managed to surface, and, currently residing in Possibility with their partners Apex and Prismarine, they're slowly learning how to be a dragon.

Speech looks like this.

Font: Mistral

Voice

A quiet baritone. Their innotation and grammar are, usually at least, a little off—but they're easy enough to get used to. They often repeat sentences, usually to elaborate or clarify further. They speak with a faint lisp, although they're unaware of it.
Wirt - OTGW [Elijah Wood]

Mannerisms

Antisocial and lumbering but tentatively eager. They keep their bioluminescent scales constantly active out of habit and actually find it rather difficult to deactivate them fully, or for long periods of time. Panic brings frantic tail-thumping and flashing of scales.

Overview

Siren started life in the pitch black of the deep ocean, isolated by their parents even from the Deep Palace for fear of the Sandwing War reaching them. Without surviving siblings and with strictly their caretakers allowed to access the rest of dragonkind —through the Palace alone— they'd grown quite accustomed to the solitude.

Until the end of the War. The news came abruptly to their parent, but jarring as it was to them, who'd sunk the past seven years under water, it was nearly incomprehensible to Siren, to whom the War may well had been eternal. Still– whispers of a wider world stirred them to fleeing the ocean soon enough.

They were greeted by a world unrecognizable: horrifically war-torn, yes, but bristling with possibility. Moving came slowly, speaking Dragon even slower, but they were dead-set.
Gradually, and with the help of many Aquatic speakers, they picked up on the news of the growing town of Possibility at the intersection of a desert and a mountain range—all things they'd been eager to find on the surface, but, it turned out, hopelessly far from the Diamond Spray Delta where they'd washed up. Still, with no semblance of a home...

This is, this has been, my home—my first home, before Possibility.

Possibility

The inevitable journey was torturous on the SeaWing's body, completely stranger to bearing weight or harsh terrain, even as they drew their route to follow as much water as they could. They reached the outskirts within two months, battered but relieved, and dragged themselves into a clinic where they encountered Apex: a SkyWing nurse working under Mayfly.

Catching the stark similarities in their respective childhoods under the War, Apex reached out after their eventual dismissal from the clinic. Longing for company since their surfacing, Siren leapt at the chance and has lived with her since.

Several months after the fact, Siren met Prismarine on a rare visit to the seashore. Enticed —and perhaps a little pitying— by their attitude (and music!) they invited them to meet Apex. He's since also joined their piece of Possibility.

And this feeling of being unalone! It is the most wonderful thing on Pyrrhia.
