The Salvager is an adult Slugcat. She exists alongside the The Survivor on the timeline.

The Salvager is the size of an average adult Slugcat. Her pale green skin is dry and thick. Her tail is usually curled into a ball, resembling the spiral of a snail's shell, but she can unfurl it. She has long ears, and her right ear is kinked. She a dark brown nose and eyes. She wears a scrap of dark purple metal on her right shoulder as a pauldron. A toolbelt (actually just some thin pieces of string) with little purple tassles is slung around her body; it can hold items like rubbish and grenades.

The Salvager is grumpy and easily annoyed; however, she is not outwardly aggressive. She will not attack unless provoked. She prefers to be alone, but may occasionally team up with other creatures to achieve a common goal. She is very hardy.

BACKSTORY

The Salvager lives in the Garbage Wastes and scavenges it for valuable items, either pawning her finds off to local Scavenger Merchants or making some use out of them. She sometimes departs from the region to trade with an iterator named Whirling Ellipse; The Salvager supplies Ellipse with rare parts that can keep her degrading systems running. The Salvager has no interest in Ascension.

ABILITIES

• She can reuse stuck spears.

• She can hold an extra spear with her curly tail.

• Her thick skin will sometimes tank an enemy spear attack. Most other enemy attacks also have a reduced lethality rate.

• She can hold an extra three items with her toolbelt. Her toolbelt cannot hold large items like spears.

• Garbage Worms will not swipe items from her. They will sometimes even help her up to high places. They are still very nosy, though (much to The Salvager's displeasure).

• Whirling Ellipse granted her the Mark of Communication.

The Salvager is often annoyed with Ellipse's eccentric, goofy behavior, but tolerates her because of the pearls she supplies her with.

• She and the resident Scavengers fluctuate between a neutral and good reputation. They sometimes have disputes over valuable items.
