Exe grew up in a whole different world and timeline. This world was very harsh, you cant trust anyone.
Exe's parents were killed when he was 3. His brother abandoned him to start a war so he was left to fend for himself for the rest of his childhood. Thanks to this he has severe PTSD and abandonment issues.
At some point exe accidentally "falls through the code" and gets transported to the world he is in now. Dealing with the pain of it all wasnt very fun and he was highly on edge for decades...maybe even centuries, he lost track of time.
For those years he actually was rather emotionless, still in the same mindset that he was in in his original world. Because of this he killed many people without mercy. This is something he regrets greatly later on.
After a while Exe met Core, his husband. Core helped him calm down and finally stop being an emotionless monster. They eventually went to have 5 kids (Exe loves kids XD).
After years of just the 2 of them (and some hardship thanks to other people), they met Mal and instantly fell in love. Exe was actually the one to ask Mal out (to everyone's surprise XD). They've been together ever since. Mal helps keep Exe calm when Core is off to work which is amazing.

Gold and Exe are close friends, Exe usually finds he can trust Gold. Even tho they are so different they get along so well.
Exe used to trust Kitu and count him as a friend but Kitu's apathetic attitude eventually caused Exe to distrust him.
Oliver and Exe met up one day and they got along really well! They understand each other a lot. They are boyfriends now!
