Corpatryn has a wild soul. She's quirky, impulsive, and a lover of good music and revelry. She talk loud and plays her instruments even louder. Easily bored and terrible at sitting still, she often gets herself into trouble, but it's all in good fun and she can handle herself well in dodgy situations — rarely facing any serious consequences thanks to liberal use of enchantment magic.
Even though she's left the royal life behind, her expensive taste shows, and she struggles to comprehend the basic value of money and objects. This was not helped by her time in the feywild. The time spent in the Dancing Court has twisted some aspects of her humor and left her acting in wild whims, making her at times dangerously unpredictable. In her mind, however, the feywild made her into the person she always wanted to be.
BACKSTORY
Once part of the royal line of Ralahath that ruled in the deep sea, Corpatryn was being groomed as heir to the kingdom as the king and queen's only child. She was taught the strict, tight regiments and responsibilities of being queen, and was taught that all others should revere — or fear — her rulership. They tried to instill in her a sense of duty to her people, though the more time went on, the more it didn't stick.
Corpatryn was always curious, and this curiosity lead her to poking around in the goings-on of the surface. The inciting incident was a tambourine falling from a shipwreck to the bottom of their sea, which she found and became attached to. It was one of the only items she brought with her when she traveled to the surface, never again returning to the Sunken Kingdom.
Not knowing her way around earthen terrain, she accidentally stumbled into the Feywild through a mushroom ring, where she spent an unknown number of years with a seelie archfey known as the Lord of the Dance. There she began as a simple court bard in the Lords ensemble, but eventually worked up the social ladder to become the Lord of the Dance's leading act. Corpatryn was gifted powerful illusionary and enchantment magic and high status at court, which made her equal parts formidable and famous. When she opted to leave the Dancing Court, the Lord took back the magic he bestowed on her and wished her well, promising to give her back that magic and her position only if she returned to court- this time forever.
Corpatryn returned to the Material Plane less than a year before entering Trinity City. While she insists she is still 21 (and has been for her entire time on the Material), she is likely much older despite her body not aging in the Feywild.

Corpatryn lives decked out in gold finery to match her strange, shimmery iridescent skin and garish outfit choices — the more garish the better, in fact. She is short even for a triton, and wears her hair in different styles constantly. When loose, it hangs longer than her own body. While adventuring she has it up in a bun with the remaining hair braided into a whip-thin plait.

She primarily serves a supporting role by manipulating enemies' minds with enchantment magic to neutralize them, or distracting them with powerful, life-like illusions. Occasionally she'll fire off a hostile spell or two to make a statement.

The Great Sunken Kingdom of Galthestaryn is a large, ancient triton kingdom that sits at the bottom of the Trench of Tempests, an oceanic trench known for its strong currents and vast depth. It is a time capsule of ancient triton customs, as the kingdom has held a policy of isolationism since its inception centuries ago. The kingdom boasts massive wealth and formidable defensive technology, but very little social culture outside of royal politicking. The shining jewel of the kingdom is its massive royal palace, Ocean's Deep. In general, Galthestarians are known as a brooding, standoffish people. They are easy to pick out amongst other tritons, as they lack the typical blue coloration. Galthestarians often have pale skin, white eyes, thin hair, and spiny fins.
Currently without an heir, the Great Sunken Kingdom has political instability brewing. With the king and queen too old to have any more biological heirs, the fate of the kingdom is in limbo.
- THE DANCING COURT

Ruled by an eladrin known only as the Lord of the Dance, the Dancing Court is a group of seelie fey who rally around performance arts, namely dancing and visual music. The Lord holds a constant schedule of galas, balls, parties, and performances, never stopping for rest or respite. It's well known that those who get on his bad side are often made to dance until they die of exhaustion.
Corpatryn most recently served as one of the Lord's highest ranked performers. She used enchantment and illusion magic to conjure up massive visual spectacles to her musical performances. She also performed underwater dancing — a talent unique to her being a triton, which is what made the Lord take a liking to her in the first palce.
