"I'm doing this for you, Mamá!"

Personality

Well-meaning at heart, Astilla took after her late mother in her dream of becoming a renowned Peacemaker. She's come quite far, sitting at Ace Rank, but she has many more obstacles in her path. Though she is quite friendly and approachable, she often gets into trouble with her clumsy and forgetful nature. Her path to the top hasn't come without failure. She beats herself up over small losses, something she is trying to work on. Astilla relies a lot on her friends, for she has learned much about life from them. Building meaningful relationships is something she holds close, never wanting to let go of her friends and family, out of fear of losing them.

Astilla also tends to have a short temper. It doesn't take much to set her off, usually talking smack about her friends and family does it. She would do anything for those she cares about, including fighting anyone who just so happened to badmouth them. As expected, this has also landed her in trouble quite a bit.

Appearance

Astilla has two different outfits, depending on if she is depicted as a Tinkatuff or Tinkaton. As a Tinkatuff, she dons a backwards baseball cap with a tuft of her curly hair sticking out of the hole up front. She wears a purple hoodie with a pink heart on it, and blue cargo pants. She also sports dark blue boots to match. As a Tinkaton, she replaces the cap with a purple beanie, and has a side braid that rests on her left shoulder. She wears a dark grey tank top, and blue sweatpants. Finally, she wears black tennis shoes. Something important to note in her Tinkaton form is that all of the skin on the left side of her body is metallic, due to having an excess amount of steel in her body upon evolution.

Relationships

Rosie Edmonds

Astilla first properly met Rosie at a Spring festival in the Shaymin Village. The duo were searching for some berries to bake into desserts, until Astilla brought up her tendency to fail. Rosie shared her own experiences, explaining that Astilla didn't need to feel bad about failing, and that failure was inevitable, after all. Afterwards, Astilla later found out that Rosie was the daughter of Lilian Edmonds, the medic who accompanied her late mother on a mission gone wrong.

Lilian Edmonds

A medic who accompanied Astilla's mother and the rest of the team on the fated Titan Wall expedition. She did her best to save María, but she would unfortunately pass later on. Astilla looks up to her as one of her greatest role models, and is happy to have had her as a teacher.

Evangeline Edmonds

A former Peacemaker whom she got to know much more recently than her wife. Astilla loves listening to her stories of her time in the guild, and enjoys her theatrics. She views Angie as strong and caring.

Backstory

Astilla was born to Silas Calloway, a reincarnated former outlaw, and María Montero, a professional Peacemaker. As a child, her strength soon became apparent, and Silas and María discussed enrolling her in the guild when she was old enough. However, when Astilla was seven years old, her mother would set off on the mission that would turn the girl's life upside down. María promised to be home soon, saying that it would just be a standard expedition. But, when the hours began to pass by, Silas and Astilla grew worried. Eventually, the team would return home, with a heavily injured María in tow. Silas was devastated. Astilla tried to look on the bright side, hoping with all her might that her tough-as-nails mother would survive this. But, hoping on a miracle wasn't enough. María's condition only worsened, and she soon passed.

Silas tried his best to provide his daughter with a normal childhood nevertheless. One day, when Astilla went back to school, she saw a familiar face as her new teacher. It was Lilian Edmonds, the former doctor that had attempted to save María, now retired afterwards. Throughout the rest of her childhood, Astilla looked up to Lilian as a mother figure, someone she could turn towards whenever she felt down. In a way, grief was the largest way they could relate.

When Astilla turned fourteen, she pleaded with her father to become a Peacemaker. She wanted to do something with her life, and didn't want to let her mother's name be tarnished in an obituary. Silas agreed, but only if she promised to "stay safe, always." Astilla was overjoyed, and was soon accepted after displaying impressive results on the entry exam. Several years later in her guild career, Astilla and a group set off to a newly-discovered dungeon, known as the Cloud Island. There, they fought manifestations of past nightmares and trauma. Astilla was pitted against a twisted illusion of her mother. Though she initially hesitated, her teammates were able to snap her out of a daze to vanquish the Cloud Island ghosts. Ever since that day, she felt an immense feeling of dread.

Present Day

Astilla isn't as peppy and cheerful as she was initially, but she tries to put on a happy face and smile so others don't worry about her. As of now, a monster invasion in the Arc Capital is going on, with her friends and father nowhere to be found. She is quite distressed, though she is attempting to hide it as well as possible.

Trivia

Astilla can eat metal and rocks! They are quite nutritious for her.

Due to having Flamigo genes, she is able to change the color of her hair based on the color of the food she eats.
