Sinder

Sinder is a young scholar that works for the palace. He longs to understand the world around him and has a fondness for alchemy, biology and chemistry He is a person who feels very strongly about things and acts based on his feelings. However if something doesnt interest him, he has a hard time engaging. Sinder can be a bit impatient and sharp-tounged at times, especially if it involves his studies, but overall, he is kind.

Sinder carries a lot of passion for what he does and this can make it so he takes things too far. He has gotten hurt multiple times because of his reckless behavior. This is also why he doesn’t want other people to be involved in his studies. He is not a stranger to magic, but is far from adept at it. He can’t actually use it but tries to study it to the best of his abilities. Sinder is able however to look into the future and receive visions. But the more he does this, the more his eyes get damaged.

From an early age, Sinder has had a curiosity for the world around him. He'd spend his free time in nature with his trusty magnifying glass, studying the plants and insects he could find. As he grew older it was clear that he was... different from other children. His relationship with his parents grew strained as his rare and strange ability began to take form.

At age 16, Sinder was enrolled to study at the kings palace to become a scholar. He had always been academically gifted and was very excited to finally get to pursue his strongest passion. His talent quickly got taken note of by those around him and he would even have the privilege to study under a mentor.

This mentor soon discovered Sinders abiltiy and began to use it to his own benefit. He had great power over Sinder, who looked up to his mentor, and could easily get the boy to do as he wished. By the time Sinder was 19, he was overworked and isolated from his peers. His mentor, who had grown paranoid due to Sinders knowledge of the future, made Sinder use his ability almost constantly, severely damaging his eyesight.

Sinders ability got pushed too far. It backfired on him, leaving him with a scar and almost blinded. This was Sinders last straw and he finally managed to break free from his mentors abuse and pursue his own path.

Sinder became a proper scholar and now spends his time as the kings designated alchemist. He lives and works in the palace alone, pouring everything into his studies. He is determined to reclaim his passion after it had been used against him by his mentor.

But strange things are happening around the kingdom, and it wont be long before Sinder will be forced to confront them...
