Elliot and Mary share a long history with one another. Being arranged fiancees, the two met as children. The two got along suprisingly well especially with Elliot's warm personality. In their youth, Mary visited the nightray manor frequently and was Elliot's playmate until she reached the age of ten when she contracted a serious illness.

After she contracted the illness, she was always stuck in the Rosethorne Manor where she faced a tremendous amount of loneliness. However during her seclusion , she received a lot of letters from Elliot which she treasures and tries her hardest to answer quickly. This strengthen the crush that she already had on the young Nightray.

At the age of 15, she finally entered the lutwidge academy where she studies. During her first day in Lutwidge Academy, She wandered inside the library where she met Leo, after reading alongside him. She met Elliot again (who she recognized because her childhood image of him) , she immediately hugged him recognizing him as her childhood friend and penpal.

At first, they had a tough time adjusting to each other but after a few days, the three of them became used to each other's presence.Currently both Elliot and Mary share a good relationship with each other. Elliot is pretty protective over his fiancee so he can become pretty short tempered if someone insults or hurt her. Mary however is a bit more shy in her approach so she usually show affection in a slightly quiet way like paying attention to him, listening and praising his musical expertise, and many more.

They don't really flirt much as they are currently concentrating on their studies.
