You 'd think a child of Ares would usually be brute, ruthless, and have a thrill for battle and danger. Althea is like that, just to a much lesser, lesser extent. She came to camp after the events of `Sea of Monsters`, and was left unclaimed for about a year after that. She's a fan of books, and would read the books she could find in camp during her pass time. Has a talent and strength for battling but never really shows it often. When she got claimed by Ares, everyone did not expect it at all from her. Considered the most passive out of her half-siblings.

Injury Resistence
Children of Ares tend to be more resistent to pain, it's useful for battle, but a bit dangerous since they wouldn't know when to quit.
Raw Strength
While Althea has a sword, she uses her hands a lot more. She bears a lot more strength than many of her siblings and Demigods in general. She could easily slam her fist to the wall and it could leave a crack. The day she was claimed, she fought one of her own siblings and won. She doesn't often use her strength but that's mostly because she's not interested in fighting unless necessary.

Backstory
[EARLY LIFE]
At an early age, Althea's mother died due to unknown causes. So throughout Althea's life her uncle, Noah Cadell, was the one who took her in. Her uncle wasn't active, nor really abusive either, he was often neglectful. Althea had to practically raise herself at a young age. She lived a relatively normal life, but struggled with academics and often get into fights with other kids. Many assume it's due to the absence of a good parental figure, but nobody really cared enough to help or ask about it.
Althea didn't have a lot of friends throughout her childhood. Because of major neglect from her guardian and lack of friends she escapes reality through books. Her first book being the `The Little Prince` recommended by a classmate as an afterthought. Althea was uninterested at first, and dyslexia didn't do any good for her either. Despite this, she gave it a try, and she ended up loving the story and message. She started reading more as a hobby.
[AT CAMP]
At age 11, a satyr escorted her to camp after the events of `Sea of Monsters`. Her first week in camp wasn't the best, as she was thrown into the cramped Hermes cabin. Hal, a son of Hermes, was the first to befriend with her. He helped her adjust to the life at camp but nothing really worked. Althea would try all sorts of activities, but none really hinted who her Godly Parent is. Hal would then introduce her to Mark, a son of Athena, due to their shared interest on books.
She became a year-rounder and was unclaimed for about a year with no clue who her father is until she got into an argument with one of the Ares kids. The argument escalated to a full blown fight and she was the victor. Ares would claim her right after that. Things did not get easier after her claim, as campers would tease her about being more 'Athena' than 'Ares'.
[DURING `THE LAST OLYMPIAN`]
Althea fought along with her siblings, but got separated during the war at one point. Coincidentally, she stumbled into her uncle in New York. He didn't notice her, but she did. A part of Althea wanted to go back to him for a semi-normal life again and forget everything that happened. But she couldn't leave her friends, and realized how his uncle never really searched for her when she just disappeared, proving to her he never truly cared much about Althea. She leaves him for good, and goes back to the battle.

♥ [READING] - It's been stated several times that she loves reading books! Odd for a child of Ares, but Althea doesn't care.
♥ [CATS] - What can she say? Cats are adorable. She liked feeding the neighbor's cat when she was still living with her uncle.
♥ [COMPETITION] - Not as much as her half-siblings, but she likes how they play out.
♥ [CAFES] - She likes the aesthetic. Plus they're usually quiet which is perfect for reading or just doing any leisure activities(If no monster attacks).
Dislikes
✦ [ENCLOSED SPACES] - She's claustrophobic. A trait most children of Ares have.
✦ [SHORT HAIR] - This is purely out of spite. She was told time and time again to cut her hair so it would be easier in combat, and she absolutely refuses to.
✦ [ANNOYING PEOPLE] - People dislike annoyances in general, but Althea has a problem with restraining herself when she's met with annoying kids. Whether it's a minor inconvenience, or major.
Trivia
→ Voiceclaim - Amity Blight(The Owl House)
→ She went on a quest as the leader for Eros during the events of TOA. Mark and Hal went along with her. After the quest, she got Eros' blessings.
→ At one point before getting claimed, she punched a tree and it left a dent. Despite this she never assumed Ares was her father.
→ Speaking of strength, there's never a real reason as to why Althea bears a lot of it. Over time she grows aware and takes advantage of the strength. She doesn't often rely on a weapon, being able to take down a monster with her bear hands(Depends on what monster though), before doing the final blow with her sword.
→ Back at school, she had broken way too many pencils completely on accident. One time she snapped a pen and the ink went all over the place. It was not fun to clean.
→ She definitely reads and writes fanfics. And have several, if not all unfinished ones too.
→ HORRIBLE with kids do not ever put her in charge with little kids. She might accidentally snap at them.
→ She annotates her books. She does not have a single book that doesn't have sticky notes ever.
→ Her fatal flaw is self-reliance. She had to practically look out for herself her whole life. She got too used to doing things her way, and would forget to ignore other's inputs.
Relations
They became friends when she was still living in the Hermes Cabin(Post-SOM). At the time when Ares claimed her, Hal and Althea continued to hang out. Their frienship got a little rocky at one point, but eventually they work it out.
They met through Hal. Both have a love for books so they instantly grew close. They like dissing on books and criticize on them. Sometimes Althea would give Mark badly written stories on purpose just too see his reaction.
On one hand, Althea could've had a worse home life, on the other, she wished her uncle would've provided more for her. She never really knows what to feel about him. Unsure if she should visit him again or no.
She never knew her mom, and most of the things she know are very vague. Her uncle never really talks about her all that much. Either because of grief or something else.
Althea has a complicated relationship going on with her dad, but that's like with most Demigods in general. She had met him before, and assumes Ares sees her as a disappointment due to her passive nature as a child of Ares. Her father would push her to be more assertive like her siblings. Still, in some strange way, Althea is sort of glad that her father never really `left` her alone. His inputs about her means that he hasn't completely abandoned her, unlike her uncle who never really talks at all. It's pretty sad really.
