Pinocchio did it! He became a real boy, making his greatest wish come true! But was that really where his story ended?
One year. He made it one year as a real boy before being forced to return to his former, wooden self. All Pinocchio wished for was to grow up like a normal child, but acting out caused this to be taken away from him. Why was he acting out? Because his peers were too, so it was normal behavior, right?
Well, no. Not really. Gepetto had to keep his eyes on him every passing minute of the day, making sure he studied, and didn't skip school in favor of hanging out with friends. This time around, Gepetto couldn't verify on whether Pinocchio was lying, but deep down inside he knew he was.
And so, the fairy returned, returning him to his roots. Regretting his actions was not enough, because Pinocchio needs to prove himself once more. He needs to prove himself not only for his own sake, but also his father's. Pinocchio still has a lot to learn, but this curious lad doesn't mind that outcome, as long as he has a good role model to show him the right way of living like a good person.
