Verity
Charming, amiable, and lively -- that's Verity! Most of her friends don't know this, but she's actually a witch who specializes in light magic. Though really, she doesn't have much use for her abilities as of now because her enemy isn't around, but better safe than sorry!
Verity strives to help those around her and bring justice to the sinister. Even if it's something simple like making sure kids don't steal each other's lunch money! But through her life, will she ever have to face an evil that is greater than anything she's ever known...?

Verity comes from a long line of witches who oppose the Dark Witches Council and their creation, Dark Enchantress Cookie. There has not been news of any Darkness spreading in the human world for longer than she's been born, so Verity spent most of her life up until recently just living normally. That was, until she met a strange boy who landed near her home out of nowhere.
Meeting Lucas
She took in this boy, who was apparently named Lucas (or at least, that's what she thought she heard). For a few years, they lived together with Verity showing him around her hometown and teaching the surprisingly oblivious boy about life. One day, Lucas revealed that he was actually from the Cookie world and was actually Black Licorice Cookie.
Black Licorice informed Verity that he was banished to the human world after fighting in a Dark war, and that alerted her Dark Enchantress was still around. Thus, Verity set out to rediscover old spells left by her ancestors without explaining much to Black Licorice in order not to worry him (achieving the exact opposite effect).
Verity's Quest
Verity would end up finding White Lily Cookie left in place of the original Light Witch and work with her to uncover Dark Enchantress' secrets once and for all. Darkness is moving into the human world fast, so they have to work quick. Verity returns to her residence after a year, only to find that Black Licorice is no longer there! Gingerbrave and Licorice inform her that he has left for the Cookie world, so she decides to follow and continue her search there.

- Verity's original fate included her dying by Dark Enchantress's hand. But I changed that because it's kinda pointless and whatever? Anyway
- Verity was not even a part of Black Licorice's original backstory -- he was the sole owner of the house where the Cookies stay during TTIWH19.
- I'm gonna be honest I wasn't confident with just adding her by herself to the TTIWH sequel so I threw in White Lily and ngl it's much better this way
Verity was the first to help Black Licorice when he first showed up in the human world. She cares for him deeply like a younger brother, though she needs to work better on her communication!
In all honesty, Verity is still a little taken aback by the fact that White Lily is her ancestor's stored memories. But putting that aside, Verity is quite relieved there is someone to guide her through her quest!
Verity doesn't know much about Dark Enchantress outside of legends, but she does know it is her quest to destroy the Dark Cookie. She will not stop until she fulfills her quest!
