About

Being captured and enslaved on a pirate ship at a young age doesn't do well for your physical development, Avrom learned that first hand. Especially when those pirates surgically remove your vocal cords so that you're unable to talk back. After getting rescued by another group of pirates, Avrom quickly made a name for himself within the ranks, but as their captain slowly became corrupted, he decided that he had deal with the situation. With the help of his two closest allies within the crew, he took the captain down, and... was unsure what to do from there. He gave a small speech to the rest of the crew, with the help of Jedhin as a translator, and it was quickly established that the crew wanted to follow his lead, now. Given such a huge responsibility, Avrom hesitantly took the position, if only out of the need of some kind of leadership in such a ship, but eventually grew to become a great captain that his crew respected and proudly followed.

Skills

Marksman's Eye

Trained well in the means of firearms, with a natural affinity to them, it's rare that he misses a shot with a pistol or rifle. Other types of firearms, he's not quite as proficient with them, but he's still a hell of a shot.

Natural Leader

His fighting spirit and his past experiences as he grew have given Avrom a natural ability to have a strong command over his crew, in a way that seems trustworthy. He is able to read into situations and decide the best course of action.

Silence as a Virtue

Being mute and quite light on his feet, Avrom has learned the benefits of silence in a given situation, and so he's become quite the master of stealth when the situation calls for it.

Relationships

Jedhin Montemayor

[ Romantic Partner ] As the only pirate on the ship to know Astral Sign Language from the start, it's no surprise that he and Avrom became close. He acted as not only his translator, but also partially his bodyguard, and still does so to this day, and so the two are very close, almost brothers... Although only to outsiders, the crew was very clear on the true depth of their relationship.

Merihk Corinthian

[ Romantic Partner ] Ever the mother hen, even when they were younger when Avrom first joined the ship, Merihk was quick to learn ASL with his then-crewmate, so that he could better communicate with them, which Avrom took note of and appreciated greatly. The two have an unusual relationship, switching between brothers and mother & son at the drop of a hat... Although, that was only true to those outside the ship, those within the crew knew the true nature of their relationship.

Trivia

• Avrom is very self-sacrificing, and very bad at taking care of himself, but he sees no issue in this so long as his crew is all taken care of.
• Despite being mute, he is quite the expressive person should you take the time to read into his body language; he compensates slightly, especially with his mask concealing his facial expressions.
• He has a soft spot for children, especially children in poor situations, and he can't really say no to them if they want or need something... and considering his past, none of the crew calls him out on it.
• You will never beat this man at chess. Never. He's been coming up with battle plans and strategies for a long time, he's learned a couple things.
• His mask, though made by some of the adults in the ship soon after he arrived, was built to look similar to those worn by the Thuldrin race, taking inspiration from another teenager that was aboard the ship at the time (Who remains a part of his crew to this day, their very own Kirin Deveer). It ended up making him look more cyborg-esque, however... Ah, well.
