Summary
Swan is a powerful metademon who materialized when the metropolis started to become more dense and urban, sparking the dawn of the tramway. Her system is and has always been electrically powered, making her the first underrealmian transporter to run an all electric system.
Her role in the roundtable of transport in Metametropolis is large, but she feels that her respect for the other members isn't properly reciprocated.
The tramway
Swan's streetcar system spans just about all of the metropolis, but it's not the most reliable time-wise. Despite the slight inconveniency of her system, the old tramway is cherished as a charming piece of history and still remains in operation.
The condition of the trams is amazing considering their age, mostly thanks to Swansea's excellent handiness. Her and her tramlettes have kept the vehicles in great shape across the decades and will continue to do so for decades to come.
Appearance and anatomy
Swansea isn’t really considered short for a metademon, though she looks tiny in comparison to her metropolitan colleagues. She is also exceptional from her fellow transporters in the way that her body is mostly soft and organic instead of tough and metallic: While much of her body is reinforced with mimic metal, most notably her torso, arms and thighs are anatomically close to a humanoid’s.
Her build isn’t very remarkable, though she does appear to be a little bit on the muscular side. Even then she comes off as very soft and harmless based on her looks, which is a very false and dangerous assumption to make.
Metademonic ability
The transmutative abilities Swansea has trained in are the summoning of extra metallic bodily substance external to herself (about 210kg/462lbs of mass) and shrinking however much she pleases by reducing her body mass.
As for her ability to change size at will: Her weight adjusts according to her size so she doesn't exert too much force on accident, a handy feature of her power since she mainly uses it to repair delicate mechanisms. It's unknown what exactly happens to her discarded body mass while she is shrunken, though that isn't a big concern to many as metademons are not to be understood.

Personality and Behavior
Swansea is very rich in personality: she's passionate about what she does, she's a go-getter and she loves to help. Her love of being of use to others stems from her metademonic instinct, though she’s observed to have aspirations and interests of her own to a further extent than most metademons.
Swansea’s soulfulness and passion
The tram operator enjoys pastimes such as musical analysis, watching soap operas, poetry, playing the electric guitar and sparring. Her time off is usually spent lounging in her tramyard, drinking coffee and enjoying the relative silence of her spot in the metropolis.
Although often very calm, Swansea is remarkably excitable, especially when someone shows interest in her and what she likes. Her tempo of speech noticeably increases and she uses a lot of hand gestures, and she’s known to shut up completely when she waits for input from the other end of the conversation. Her usually oval eyes form circles when she’s deep in listening, and though her large, dark irises make her look kind of stupid, she excellently remembers most of what she observes.
Naïveté, her detriment
Her passionate sociability often does come off as quite desperate, as she doesn’t really know when a person doesn’t want to talk to her anymore. When she drives the conversation for too long, she often fails to acknowledge that the constant socializing might only push the person away.
Many label Swansea as a blind follower with fragile and malleable morals. She feels most comfortable following a preplanned policy or someone else’s intuition, which is fine, but she tends to base her values off an external mind too, and this way her loyalty can backfire. She is a big believer in forgiveness, but there are some things she doesn’t give a second thought to when perhaps she should.
These traits, combined with her immense physical ability, create a dangerous situation if put in the wrong hands.
Relationships
The closest friend she has in the metropolis is her colleague Rheingold. The two are the oldest remaining transporters in Metametropolis and Swan views the train operator like an older brother. She teases the hell out of him of course, but she still holds immense respect for him and genuinely enjoys his company — at least when they’re not under the same roof for too long, he produces an egregious amount of thick smog and he smells burnt all the time.
