Bristly and short tempted Ed has a reputation among the racing crew, they know his harsh words rarely come from the heart and his bark has no bite. He's sooner to tell you off for putting yourself down than anything else.

He's an all rounder who doesn't optimise his ship for the race. He claims skills are what really matter in the end and his are all he needs to win, even on the dingiest of ships (not that his ship is dingy of course, not his baby).
