Summary

Ruka was a military grade Grem2 special ordered for integration into an advanced unit of Cypherus hunters. After almost two decades of relishing in the disciplined and challenging nature of their occupation they abandoned the work. It's unknown how the falling out and change of moral compass came to happen since they won't speak of the circumstances revolving around it but Ruka has since dedicated their life to conservation of the native wildlife on Palleth - which extends to both Grem2s and Cypherus as well.

They harbor immense distrust for humans and most other species and work within and outside of the law to hunt down poachers, and less publically, GremCorps agents and law enforcement directly threatening the lives of Grem2s or Cypherus. Their main focus remains primarily on protecting the wild native species threatened by human colonization and uncovering the lost history of their ancestors, the Gremtuk.

Occasionally their goals overlap with those of the Black Kites though they have no official working relationship. Ruka funds their personal work through odd jobs like construction or whatever seems convenient and interesting on online job boards.
