"I'm guessing that I've grown horns
I guess I'm human no more
I can tell I've rotted in your brain
Oh, how easily passion twists
You think I'm a crazy bitch
A thousand words are left unsaid
'Cause no one listens to the dead
"

Kaneonuskatew, or Kane for short, is an energetic and cheeky individual with little to no respect for privacy. Upon first meeting, she doesn't interact much. She's not a huge fan of strangers, and tends to avoid them as best she can, while doing anything in her power to make them go away. Once she's discovered, however, she turns into the biggest pain in the ass you've ever met.

12843164_sO1VGZ8dBc80uEC.png?1553148828At first Kane's mischief is subtle, rooted in passive-aggressive first impressions. As time passes Kane gets bolder, and her little pranks can turn into obvious threats. She was never a big fan of strangers and makes no effort to hide that fact. The boldness of her little 'jokes' can only be taken so far. Once somebody finds her out or scolds her, Kane will revert to sulking and avoidance. Andromeda lightly disciplines her, and out of respect for him she behaves in his presence. But once Andromeda leaves the room and Kane is left to her own devices, she'll be quick to enact her wrath once again. She gets away with this due to Andromeda's blatant denial of her aggressive intent. He isn't much of a disciplinarian towards her, despite being strict with the other youths in his care. Though Kane knows to be more docile towards the Stoneborn she has no such filter when it comes to other visitors.

Not particularly social, Kane gets shy when she's confronted outright, especial when she doesn't have An to support her. She loves small spaces and hidden nooks where she can watch the comings and goings of the people in the area without being discovered. She hates more than one pair of eyes on her, and gets flustered in a crowd, though she loves being able to pass through groups of people unnoticed. She feels safe in places where she can hide, knowing she'll only embarrass herself or cause problems for herself if people catch her in a disadvantageous position. Therefore, she can be blatantly cowardly, running away from confrontation and anything that puts her in a negative spotlight. Unsure how to handle herself when she's desperate or frustrated, Kane avoids the problems she can't deal with and hates being proven wrong.12429526_LWge0ctxMw1FuVc.png?1551429765

When Kane feels trapped or uncomfortable, or generally doesn't know how to react to a situation, she responds with anger. Hating to be ridiculed or antagonised, she reacts with helpless insults toward her offender, with the intention of making them feel lesser to herself, and thus boosting her own pride. Later on, she becomes frustrated at herself for losing her temper at all, and it makes her feel even more ashamed and embarrassed than she started out. Not only are her reactions immature but her decision-making skills, too. Powered by her own fragile pride, Kane is petty and an enacter of cold, cold revenge. She's a scary enemy to have because of the sheer cruelness of her payback.

Innately curious, Kane is nosy and, due to her sub-par social skills, she reverts to snooping rather than asking questions outright. She's an expert at collecting embarrassing and blackmail-worthy information, and she doesn't skip on the details. In fact, with most things Kane does, she pays distinct attention to the small details, making her at once very thorough but also very picky. It also means small things can be the mistake that sends her into a flying rage.

Not only does Kane hate abandonment and ridicule, she also hates confinement. She can easily get bored and uncomfortable if she's forced into a cage or a routine, and will do anything to escape her prison. This means she's not above manipulation, betrayal and even aggression when her end goal is freedom. Kane also hates being told what to do, being told to sit still and being peer pressured. A bored Kane is a mischievous Kane, and even more so once she gets frustrated.

Kane can use a small amount of magic, which she combines with her ability to control her soul in order to magically encase her soul but still be able to manoeuvre it outside her body, usually in the form of two ghost-like arms protruding from her back. With these arms she can affect other peoples's souls, a power that makes her deadly, and part of the reason Andromeda tries to keep her from going out into the world and causing mayhem. If she's not using her ghost arms, she can use minor magical spells, such as glowing, floating or healing.

12456255_qTww6VXVESqXAq6.pngThose visiting Kane's home will often go the entire visit without even knowing she exists - she hates strangers and will go out of her way to avoid them, generally out of spite, but also out of fear, although she doesn't admit this. If strangers are sharp enough to find h er, it's a rather unlucky break for them, because Kane is never friendly to strangers. She treats them as playthings, and tends to prank them for fun, although she won't usually cause big, obvious problems while she's hiding as it gives away her presence.

Once they're aware of her, however, they won't get a moment's peace. It is possible, of course, to befriend her, and once her trust is earned, Kane loves to talk and make jokes, and the trouble she causes loses its stinging quality. When not fuelled by anger, Kane is playful and energetic, loving to dance, explore and play sports. She's not much of a team player, and she can definitely be a sore loser, but she loves the adrenaline. She loves to talk big and is full of energy, often tiring others out far before she herself calms down. When she's in control of a situation, Kane is in control of every detail. Easily asserting authority, Kane would make a great leader and could pull off great feats if only she knew more about the world and wasn't so afraid of leaving Andromeda. Despite seeming to be an irritating and demanding munchkin, Kane actually takes things upon herself and is much more mature and emotionally flexible than she comes off to be.

Surprisingly, Kane is actually rather friendly, and eager to make friends, though she doesn't necessarily know how to go about doing this. One just has to reach out to her first, and make them curious about her. With a little patience, Kane makes a loyal friend, though she needs to be put in her place first as she doesn't play well when she's told to "share". Casual attempts to befriend her generally end in fights, or in Kane playing the bully and teasing the other, putting them down before they can do the same to her. She can be very bossy, but only because she doesn't know how to interact with people, and portrays an image of pride and confidence around people she wants to be friends with. A lot of her words have a stinging quality, because she's a very mouthy and isn't afraid to be cheeky when she's in her confident persona. She finds sassy jokes to be very funny, although she always feels hurt when such jokes are used against her, and they're usually the cause for her backlash.

She's good at playing the 'tough kid', and doesn't quite know how to back down. She's very persistent and appears very bold even if deep down she's shy and insecure. She has a facade of confidence that she hides behind, and even believes in, and will generally default to this mode when she first interacts with somebody. Luckily, her false confidence has sewn a sense of pride in her mind, and she holds herself to very high standards. She has a tendency to overplay her achievements and undermine her faults.

Kane has difficulties interacting with people due to years and years of isolation with only Andromeda as her companion. As a result she lashes out, frequently for no reason, and occasionally on purpose in order to get her way. In most cases, however, her anger serves as a means to comfort herself by reasserting control and rejecting thoughts she finds too difficult to deal with. The amount of interaction she actually does with other people is rather lacking. Her mind works underneath her confident persona, evaluating herself and her worth after each interaction. She can only tolerate social activity in short bursts, and even then, has trouble acting in a way that she approves of. She doesn't have a problem with hurting people - in many ways, she sees it as the optimal way to get what she wants. But she's her harshest critic, and if she doesn't believe she's living up to the high standards she set for herself, she'll drop into her negative side. When she's in this state of mind, she's extremely volatile, and anything could set her off.

16870643_izQ6jJMSC7B6GYM.png?1569645852Andromeda could potentially help her due to his years of experience as a medic and his 'wisdom of the ages' so to speak, but he finds that he's not allowed to discipline her behaviour nor offer advice to her due to their past together. He believes her condition and state of mind are of his own doing, and does not give himself the right to risk damaging her further. As well, Andromeda himself isn't in his most healthy state of mind. Years of isolation and verbal abuse have turned him into Kane's subordinate, and he'll obey her whim just to avoid triggering her wrath. He'd do nearly anything to avoid losing her, considering she's the only true friend he's had since youth. He cannot even relish the idea of being away from her.

Because Andromeda's the only friend Kane has ever known, she's at a loss for how to treat anybody other than him. She walks all over everybody whenever she has the chance, because that's the only way she knows how to socialise. When it turns out badly, Kane gets angry at herself for messing it up, confused at the outcome, and afraid of how others are going to see her/treat her if she can't stay calm and maintain control. Because of her past, she's terrified of letting anybody know who she is, and believes that she shouldn't exist/the world would be better if she didn't exist. Mostly for An's sake, she'll kick and scream if somebody tries to pry too far into their lives.

Trivia

- Kane can't sleep without Andromeda being in the room; in some cases she can't sleep unless she's cuddling up to him. Her talking is the white noise that puts him to sleep, so they benefit each other when they go to bed at the same time.

-  Kane can crawl along walls and roofs, and enjoys getting into hard-to-reach places. She's often found inside of cupboards, in closets and under beds. She can also teleport a little bit, allowing her to warp through locked doors. Occasionally, she messes up her warping, and ends up getting part of her body stuck inside of walls or doors.

- Kane loves music! She loves to sing and dance, especially dance. She likes to take apart music boxes and change the tunes a bit, making her own songs. She does dance to them, though she won't do it around anybody other than Andromeda. She loves street performers, and always manages to convince An to watch the dancers when she spots them in town.

- She has a blind spot! If you approach her from her upper right, she won't see you coming. That's because her right eye, the blue one, is completely blind. It's a sightless eye, but it follows her gaze when she looks around with her other eyes, so it doesn't look like a blind eye at all.

- A little self-conscious about her two left eyes, she occasionally wears a thin eye patch covering the two black eyes, one that only dims her vision but still allows her to see out.

- Kane gets really cocky, knowing she can get away with literally anything, because whenever she starts bothering somebody and they get angry enough to fight back, Andromeda appears behind her. He's got a lot of influence in the world so nobody wants to fight his apprentice while he's around

[ Caretaker/Teacher ]
Kane and Andromeda have a strange relationship. She relies on him heavily in social situations, often hiding underneath his coat or behind his tail. He acts very fatherly towards her, grooming her and comforting her, and he even curls around her at night when they go to sleep. Kane isn't always nice to An, taking advantage of his sweet nature. She's never physical with him, but she does call him names and tease him, playing all sorts of pranks on him (he's learned to see them coming and avoid them).
However, Kane also feels trapped by the sense of responsibility Andromeda constantly places on her. He doesn't let her explore much due to how temperamental and vicious she can be. She takes out her restlessness on him, and doesn't seem to realise how those actions hurt him.
Nonetheless, when push comes to shove, Kane will generally stand by Andromeda's side, and occasionally stand in front of him to protect him from people who will hurt him.
