It's often thought by onlookers that Dante is too perfect; he's everything that is expected of a king-to-be, compared to his withdrawn, downtrodden brother. But Dante has his own issues. He's confident, kind, and well-mannered, it's true, but he has a hindering speech impediment that makes getting his point across difficult. To make matters worse, Dante is terrible at making decisions; when confronted with choices, he'll stress and worry, allowing the pressure to eat away at him. When he believes there's only one option, he'll often forget that there are other possibilities and keeps plugging towards it. He relies heavily on his twin as his advisor and his only true friend. Good natured and amiable, Dante is popular with the common folk and does his best to keep their interests in mind. He will defend the less fortunate when he needs to, even sometimes at the risk of breaking laws.

In general, Dante is a very caring individual. He's heart-centered, meaning he's more likely to be concerned with emotions than logic. He's sympathetic, generous, and everything that a good ruler should be (but historically aren't, for some reason).

Furthermore, Dante is immensely social, and holds himself with a certain pride that can be interpreted as charm. He's capable of holding his own in an argument as long as he holds belief in what he's arguing for - with exception if he's arguing against his brother. Because Giles acts as his main advisor, Dante will automatically accept Giles' word as law.

Although Dante is usually confident, he struggles when making important decisions, particularly those that affect others. It's when faces with these choices that Dante needs to take council from Giles.

His ruling parents made him their heir over his brother Giles. This suits them both just fine, as Dante is much more comfortable in social situations and can easily voice any point that Giles is trying to make but can't find the words for (the boys argue that 'twinepathy' is at play here).

Although Dante and Giles are identical twins, Dante is much more flamboyant and has a love for ribbons and colors. He separated himself in appearance from his plain-looking brother by growing his hair long and dying it blue with a very expensive mineral dye - his guiltiest expense, but also his favorite. He also dresses much more fashionably than Giles, and makes sure his clothing is decorated with ceramic beads, lace and ribbons. Despite his insistence that they match, however, Giles won't mimic his style and remains rather plain, to Dante's dismay.

Picky in every regard due to his indecisiveness, Dante often takes prompts and pokes from his brother just to hurry things up. Dante can be infuriatingly choosy and stubborn. Rudeness, however, is out of the question for him. Stubbornness is allowed, so long as respect for the other is maintained. Dante takes pride in his poise, politess and equal treatment of others.

Although kind, Dante lacks some common sense. This is another factor that contributes to his indicisiveness, and another trait that he borrows from his brother when needed. He tends to follow his heart as opposed to thinking things through, and his drive to set things right can override his indecisiveness and make him undeterrable, even with Giles' protesting. This recklessness and disregard for sense can land him in unfortunate situations, although Giles is usually around to give him a helping hand.

The heart is Dante's main driving factor - he's incredibly sensitive and picks up emotions from everybody around him. This leads to him taking on everybody's problems, including his own. While it makes him empathetic, it also weighs him down and holds him back. As a result, everything has a profound emotional impact on him. He rarely goes a week without shedding tears of pity, sympathy, guilt, doubt or fear. Tears of joy are also common, though, as Dante is quick to forgive and appreciates even the tiniest of good deeds.
